You were digging your face in your plate playing with your food trying to ignore the usual drama your parents had every night at dinner. They were always fighting for nothing, the stupidest thing was perfect to start arguing. You were sick of it, you were tired of holding your tears in front of them to cry yourself to sleep in your room every night. Why were they together if they clearly didn't love each other? That night you had enough, you weren't gonna stand another fight. You stood up without finishing your food and they didn't realized you were gone until you slammed the front door and started running. Fortunately they didn't react until you had a big advantage to disappear. You kept running in the dark and solitary streets looking for a safe place, you already knew what place was that so when you saw the door of the house you smiled a bit relieved. You knocked the door with your knuckles and waited for the person you needed the most in that moment.

When Kyungsoo opened the door you saw his sleepy eyes opening like an owl's eyes for the surprise of seeing you at his door. "[Y/n], what are you doing here so late?" Your friend asked. You couldn't held your tears anymore so you just let them free and without saying a word you hugged Kyungsoo. He cared the back of your head sighting as you cried on his chest. He didn't need you to tell him what happened, he already knew without information that your parents were arguing again. "Let's go inside" He said holding you taking you to the kitchen. In the kitchen he made you sit on a chair and took a cloth napkin. He put a chair in front of you and he sat there to clean your tears with the napkin. "I'm so tired" You said calming your sobs. "Sometimes I think that if I died they wouldn't even notice and they'd just keep arguing about another stupid thing. If I disappeared from this world no one would care" You continued "Don't say that. Of course they would care. They are your parents. And even if they didn't, I care about you and for me you matter a lot, you're the most important person in my life" He said caressing your hand. You looked up to his face and he had a shy, kind of sad smile on his face. "Thank you, Kyungsoo. You're the best friend I could ever ask for" You said smiling him back.

"Can I stay here for the night? I need at least a night away from the drama" You said even though a night wasn't enough, you really needed to leave that house forever. "You can stay here as long as you want. Also I have a bed for you tonight. Baekhyun has a date" He said "Oh, really? With who?" You said curious. At least talking about Baek would help you not to think about your problems. "Do you remember that girl from his class he had a crush on for a long time? Well, Chen and his girlfriend kind of made them have a private time and she asked him out" He said with his happy eyes. "Really? Who would have thought she would ask him out. What a lucky and lazy guy. Getting the girl without effort" You said and suddenly you hear the doorbell followed by angry knocks on the door.

Kyungsoo walked to the door quietly and you looked from the kitchen. He checked who it was and looked at you with horror and you knew who was out there so you hid. "Do you know where is [y/n]? Has she called you?" You heard your father say when Kyungsoo opened the door. "No... I saw her this afternoon and walked her home. Are you sure she's not at your house?" Kyungsoo lied with his best acting skills. "I'm looking for her in the middle of the night, of course I'm sure she's not where she should be. Are you sure you don't know where she is? Don't lie to me, I know you since you were a baby and I know when you lie" Your father said looking at him with suspicious eyes. "I swear I don't know anything. If I discover anything I'll call you immediately" Kyungsoo said and after a few seconds you heard two punches "Tell me where she is!" You father screamed. "I don't know! And actually even if I knew you could punch me a million times and I would never told you. Now get the hell out of my house before I call the police" Kyungsoo said and slammed the front door on your dad's face.

Kyungsoo appeared in the kitchen with his nose bleeding. "Oh, my god! Did my father do that to your?" You said shocked walking towards him and held his face "Ouch, ouch. Careful" Kyungsoo complained "Let me help you with that" You said worried. It was your fault that he was bleeding now. You made him cover his nose with his fingers to stop the bleeding and you looked for the cloth napkin and some paper. You put some cold water on the napkin and cleaned the nose blood on his face "You shouldn't had lie to my dad. I should have come out and leave with him, that way you would be okay. I'm sorry" You said cleaning his face. "No, you shouldn't had. Someone needs you protect you when you can't and if I can be that someone I will without hesitation" He said in a serious yet sweet tone "And I must say I'm ok" He added cleaning his nose and putting some paper in his nose and you couldn't help but laugh "What? I'm being honest and good and you're laughing at me" He complained with his cheeks a little red. "I'm sorry. You look really funny and cute with that paper in your nose" You said trying to stop laughing "Cute? You think I'm cute?" He asked with his bright eyes. You just nodded repeatedly with a smile and in a second you felt his hearted lips on yours. You froze at the beginning and instinctively you kissed him back. It felt right to kiss him, not only because his lips were delicious but because it was him. You knew each other since forever but you never thought of him as something else than a friend but that kiss opened your eyes.

"Ouch" He complained "Did I hurt you? You asked blushing "Yes, but it was a nice pain" He said caressing your face before kissing you carefully again. "We should sleep already. It's really late" He said resting his forehead on yours "Okay" You said and followed him. "That's Baekhyun's bed. I'll give you something comfortable to wear" He said "Can I, can I sleep with you?" You said shyly "O-okay" He said. In his room he gave you a T-Shirt that was so big that fit you like a tiny dress and took off the paper off his nose when the bleeding stopped. You both laid in his bed under the sheets and he hugged you from behind. After a while trying to sleep you said something. "Since when?" "Since when what?" Kyungsoo said with a sleepy voice in your ear "Since when do you like me?" You asked "Since I can remember" He simply said and you smiled. You held his hand and after a few minutes you fell asleep in his safe arms feeling for the first time in a long time like you were home.
