18 hours until dawn
Sage's head turned around so fast. That sound was not good. They were supposed to be safe in the cabin! Well, it was a nice thought while it lasted. Juliana looked at her
"I bet the chances are slim that that thing wants to have cake and tea huh" she said in a very deadpan voice. Ashlynn turned around
"Guys we have to go now," she said panicked. "Bad things are going to happen if we don't" Martin looked at her and rolled his eyes.
"And you know this because?" Ashlynn rolled her eyes with an exasperated sigh
" I just do ok! Come on!" Charles looked at her.
"You realize that even though it is summer it is still really cold out there at night, also let's not forget about the wolves and the potential axe murderer from the last time we were here" Charles shuddered. There was a roar from upstairs.
"I'm with Ash," Emmy said "I'm more willing to risk it out there than in here cause chances are that thing wants to eat someone" Martin rolled his eyes
"Well, I'm staying because we can overpower that thing, and there is no reason to run. We have firearms. Who else wants to help me?" Brianna, Jay, and Mason raised their hands.
"I'm sorry, Sage, but I just can't go back out there, not after last time." Brianna looked at the floor.
"Its fine" said Sage. "We can just meet up again when its clear using our- dang it!, never mind there is no reception we can just find each other again later!"
"no time like the present" and with that Ashlynn was out the door. Why did they need to leave so suddenly? OK, well there was a valid reason but that wasn't the point Ashlynn didn't even bother waiting for her, Juliana, Emmy, and Charles. also, another weird thing Charles didn't make the more rational-looking decision. But now was not the time to dwell on these things. Ashlynn was right. No time like the present.
"come on guys let's go." and with that, those who were leaving left and the fate of those who remained was decided.
