Summary

In the land of Dagga animal races evolved and gained the ability to draw on the energy of the planet. They named this energy Meko. Meko granted unimaginable powers that were controlled by brain frequencies. The highest evolved were able to wield this energy in battle. The races developed their own styles of meko control, and used meko to establish Kingdoms.

Prologue

A hill of fire spews death down on the catlike inhabitants of the kingdom at its base. After decades of dormancy, destruction appeared without warning. It was in the summer of year 110ME that prosperity came to an end. A 10-mile mushroom cloud of ash and pumice erupt into the stratosphere. For the next 12 hours, volcanic ash and a hail of pumice stones up to 3 inches in diameter rain down on Lio, forcing the Lionans to flee in terror. The once lushish island Kingdom of Lio, was now buried under a thick layer of volcanic material and mud.

Chapter 1

Mio Leonotis

Mio Leonotis, was the last male Lionan in existence alongside his father, King Savid. Mio was young and handsome with a compact muscular structure and powerful forelegs, ferocious teeth and jaws masked by a medium sized mane. Lionans were normally born with a golden brown coat. Mio was born with all the  traits that gave Lionans a certain renown within Tigan. Many believed him to be a new evolution in the Lionan race.  Now after 17 years of training and not being able to use Pyro Meko the kingdom has lost hope. He was oversleeping as  usual, a trait seemingly shared by all male Lionans.  He's woken up by his teacher Tiora with a loud growl. Her mouth open, canine teeth exposed directly over his face with the scent of gazelle flesh on her breath. Tiora had trained 2 masters and 3 champions and now, the son of the Sumpreme Savid. Today Mio was becoming a mature Catonan. Tiora was tasked with teaching him how to use the Cato Eye.  A natural a Catonan ability that allows you to see your enemies vital points. Tiora grabs Mio by the tail and dragging him to the courtyard. Mio goes back to sleep until he realizes he's now airborne and Tiora has thrown him into the training area. Mio landing on his head growls in pain, releasing a sonic wave that travels across the room denting the steel reinforcement of the castle walls.  Before Mio can recover, Tiora starts lunging toward him, fully extending her leg with bent knee, finishing off the move snapping her foot against the side of his head. Pain circulating through the muscles surrounding his skull causing him to clench his teeth. Her movement was so fast all Mios could make out was a blur of orange and brown with white ventral areas and distinctive vertical black stripes. Her Tigan combat style utilized quick overwhelming attacks, and pounces from above combined with overtaking the enemy in a quick rush.
That was only 1/4 of her speed. Tiora explains to Mio that the  Cato eye activates from combat.  In times of peace training will have to do.
When it activates your eyes will reflect more light increasing your vision, allowing you to see the vital points of the enemy. Tiora says while entering her Tigan fighting stance.
Mio readies his hands at his cheeks, preparing for another kick to the head. Still writhing in pain from the previous attack.
Tiora pounces forward with a coiled energy and balletic grace generated by her mighty forelimbs.
With blinding speed Tiora leaps over the head of Mio causing him to drop his right hand to presumably block a Tiora body kick. Instead, Tiora went high with her left leg, cracking Mio on the jawline. Dropping him to the middle of the floor, truly showcasing the power of a Grand Master.
Mio gets up in frustration punching the wall next to him.
"My father should be training me!" Mio Roared, the sound echoing throughout the kingdom.
"Quiet before you wake your father, he's only had half of his needed sleep" sneered Tiora.  Her upper lip raised and eyes squinted, piercing gaze fixated on Mio. "Your father is Tigan's Alpha Supreme, did you forget Lionans need their 20hrs of sleep to be at full power." she said.
Mio's father, King Savid, excelled at combat training since the age of 5, becoming Grand  master at 12, earning him recognition as a prodigy and the best warrior of his generation.  He was world renown as an inventive combat artist,  constantly creating new techniques and always looking for ways to improve pyro meko. He heroically made a last stand against overwhelming odds  to end the predatory war of 125ME, saving the life of the Beta Supreme of Tiga. Single-handedly defeating the Scagon Supreme and the Ramon Supreme with his Ignition Point Technique in a fierce gruesome battle. Earning him the title of greatest Meko user of Dagga.  He was anointed Alpha Supreme  for saving the life of the Kinfdom of Tiga.
"Speaking of sleep, you're getting close to your limit. Go get some green tea with your dinner to extend your stamina. Training will continue on our night hunt" said Tiora as she disappeared instantly into a cloud of grey smoke.
When it clears Mio sees a Slingshot with a note attached saying Happy Birthday. He smiled. In 17 years he couldn't remember the last time Tiora had gotten him a birthday gift. Filled with a renewed motivation Mio heads back to the castle to prepare for the night hunt.
