Off the Caribbean Sea, there are many of fishermen that sail themselves out in small sail boats to catch and bring home a fine feast of something that the sea offers to them. The sea. The sea itself is very wonderous and mysterious, for men almost know nothing about it and its secrets. But there is a dark side to even the sea as well. For no one knows of what curse the sea many bring. Weather it is raging storms, destructive waves, or perhaps something even more deadly then these. And for a certain fisherman named Gabriel Francisco, that threat is something that he will have to face on his own.

On a clear and starry night out at sea, Gabriel had had a rough day of catching absolutely nothing. Not even a small shrimp didn't get caught on his hook. Full with frustration, Gabriel decides to just sit down and relax in his boat for the night. While doing this Gabriel then starts to think about his young childhood.

Ever since Gabriel was a little boy, his father would come home and bring a fine catch from the sea for dinner. In Gabriel's mind, he wanted to be a great and masterful fisherman just like his father. As Gabriel grew up, his father taught him little by little the art of fishing with lines, nets, and even harpoons. Gabriel loved every second of what he was learning from his father. When Gabriel was a teenager, his father brought him along on a fishing trip out to the open sea. There, Gabriel caught his first fish. A very large marlin! Gabriel was so happy on that day, along with his father as well. Once Gabriel was all grown up, he decided to make his own living by becoming the masterful fisherman he always wanted to be. That was years ago, back in the 1950's. It is now the 1960's.

With all these pleasant thoughts flowing through Gabriel's mind, he soon enough falls fast to sleep. Hours pass before Gabriel is awakened by something bumping his boat. Gabriel shacks himself awake from the bumping of his boat. Gabriel then looks around him to see what's going on. Out in the vast horizon of the nightly sea, Gabriel doesn't really see a whole lot of anything. Just sea mile beyond sea mile. Gabriel then looks over the side of his boat and looks into the water. But as Gabriel is looking into the water........................he sees something that makes his blood run cold! In the water not to far from him, there is a massive great white shark swimming and looking straight at Gabriel! Gabriel sees the sharp pearly teeth and black doll-like eyes of the shark. It is as if the shark is looking into Gabriel's soul, wanting to eat it alive!

"Holy hell!", Gabriel thinks to himself as he slowly goes to the back of his boat.

Gabriel then sees the shark again. This time, Gabriel sees the large black dorsal fin of the monster. Gabriel predicts that the shark is about 20 to 25 feet in length! Soon enough however, the shark's dorsal fin then begins to go down under the water and into the abyss. With what Gabriel had just witnessed, he quickly begins to row out of the area as fast as he could row.

The next day, Gabriel is still struggling to catch something. Luckily, Gabriel has a whole month of supplies on his small sail boat. Hour upon hour, Gabriel is catching nothing at all, despite the sky being full of seagulls catching fish on their own. It also doesn't help the fact that the sun is scorching today. Gabriel miserably continues to try to catch something.

"I guess even my father had trouble like this when he was a fisherman", Gabriel thought to himself as he cast out his fishing line.

Suddenly however, while Gabriel is reeling in what might finally be the catch of the day, something pulls on his fishing line and snaps it!

"What the hell?!", Gabriel thinks in shock and frustration.

Then.....................out of the horizon, not to far from his boat, Gabriel sees a large dorsal fin coming close to his boat!

"What! That can't be the same shark from last night. Could it?", Gabriel tried to reason with himself.

The shark came close by again. The shark with all it's black coloring of its skin made it look evil enough to be a devil. A devil of the sea. Especially with the dark demonic looking eyes that this shark had. Gabriel just stood there in his boat, frozen in his shoes. And once again, the shark glided away into the depths of the sea.

At this point, Gabriel was not to sure of what to think about this shark. Could this shark be actually stocking him? Could that even be a possibility? While thinking about this for a while, Gabriel counited to try and catch something, but to no avail.

That night, Gabriel was eating some spam, while reading a book, and smoking a cigarette. Gabriel was thoroughly enjoying his book. The book that Gabriel was reading was none other than the novel, Moby Dick. What made Gabriel laugh is that he felt somewhat the same anger and frustrated way that Captain Ahab felt towards Moby Dick himself. Gabriel guessed that being a fisherman or a whaler like Ahab was no easy feat. Eventually, Gabriel decided to go to sleep for the night.

The following day drew a strong and powerful wind. So strong and powerful, that Gabriel took advantage of it by putting his sail up and riding the waves. Riding the waves was very much fun for Gabriel with the wind in his hair. Gabriel gave a smile as he continued to ride the waves. But then, Gabriel turned around and looked behind and saw...........................a black dorsal fin!

"Why you stupid fishy bastard!", Gabriel thought on realizing that this shark was stocking him everywhere he went!

Gabriel could go anywhere in the sea, but that evil shark would still be following him where ever he roamed! But worse! This shark apparently wasn't just toying around with Gabriel, but something far more horrific. This shark was following him to eat him alive!

At this point, Gabriel realized that in order to put a stop to this terror, he would have to fight the shark to the death! Gabriel then put down the sail of his boat and began to just float around. Gabriel then grabbed his harpoon and tighten a long and strong rope to the end of the spear. There, Gabriel stood tall and firm...........................waiting for the shark to rise out of the depths of the sea. Minutes passed by very slowly as the hot wind continued to blow. Tense sweat dripped from Gabriel's forehead on into his mouth. The sweat was very bitter and salty tasting to Gabriel.

"Come on. Come on you damn shark! Show yourself!", Gabriel thought as he gashed his teeth.

Suddenly.....................something rammed into Gabriel's boat hard! The hit was so hard that Gabriel lost his balance and almost fell off his boat! But Gabriel was able to catch himself and stood right back up. Gabriel looked up and saw the sinister black shark swimming away! This was Gabriel's chance to kill the thing that had been stocking him for three days and nights! Gabriel threw the harpoon with all his power! The harpoon flew through the air and struck the shark in the dorsal fin! Blood shot up from the water! The shark then began to pull Gabriel's boat with incredible strength and speed! Gabriel then began to pull in the line closer to the shark to get another chance to strike the shark again. But then, the line snapped! Gabriel and his boat shook violently back and forth! As for the shark, he disappeared into the sea!

"Goddamn it! I will kill you for that!", Gabriel brooded as he growled aloud.

Suddenly...........................the shark raised out of the water and was heading head on towards Gabriel's boat! Gabriel quickly grabbed another harpoon and stood at the front of the boat, ready to face his enemy face on! The shark was picking up speed! Fast, and faster, and faster, AND FASTER!!! It was now or never! To make his father proud by becoming the masterful fisherman that he was, or become the bloody and gory meal for this monstrous and evil shark!

Gabriel stood ready with his heart pounding like it was going to explode! Then, Gabriel screamed in hateful rage! The shark then jumped out of the water and flew through the air in attempt to eat Gabriel alive! But then, Gabriel threw the harpoon with all his might! The harpoon struck the shark in the heart! Blood and guts sprayed everywhere-the sea, the boat, and even Gabriel as well! Gabriel ducked as the now dead shark flew over his head and landed back into the water with a loud and sickening thud! Gabriel, now covered in shark blood and juices, looked over at the dead shark. The shark that had stocked him mercilessly for three days and nights! And now, the nightmare was all over!

Gabriel then just began to laugh as he looked at the shark. Upon realizing this, Gabriel had now finally had gotten the catch that he was wanting for so long. And now, here it was in front of him. Gabriel smiled as he rowed his boat close to the shark and procced to harvest his victories kill.
