Elena's POV

I woke up bright and early, today gavi had a game today for Spain against Georgia. I got ready, put my makeup on, put on his jersey and jeans. I went downstairs and made myself a coffee.

I left the house and made sure to text gavi.

Hey handsome, I'm leaving the house right now. I love you❤️

I can't wait to see you💞

I got there and met up with the rest of the teams girlfriends and wives. We sat in the very front, we were chitchatting with drinks in our hands.

"So how are you and gavi?" Álvaro's wife, Alice asks.

"We're very good" I smiled nodding my head, taking a sip of my coffee

"That's good, that's good. Has he put a ring on the finger yet?" She asks, I almost choked on my coffee

"No! No" I smiled laughing, she chuckles

"I know, it's just a joke." She smiles, I nodded and looked away.

The game was started and they lined up and started singing the national anthem, they warmed up quickly and it started.

4 minutes into the game and Robin scored, for Spain.

10 minutes into the game and Georgia scored.

26 minutes into the game suddenly I see gavi rolling onto the ground and Xavi and everyone else running towards him, I stood up my chair trying to get a better view of what happened.

"What happened?" One of the girls ask

"I-I don't know." I say squinting my eyes, suddenly I see Pedri running towards me.
"Pedri what's up?" I asked worried

"You need to come." He says panting, I try going over the fence and Pedri helps me out, I smiled and started running.

Gosh, why was the field so big. Thank god I wore sneakers.

I start panting and I try to push people out of my way, Pedri helps me push people out the way.

"Hey, move out the way." Pedri says sternly guiding me from behind.

Once I get to the center I see gavi groaning and closing his eyes. I dropped my purse and dropped to my knees.

"Pablo! Oh my goodness! What happened." I start to worry, he opens his eyes and sat up and hugged me.

I didn't care that he was sweaty, I didn't care if he got my most expensive shirt dirty with his sweat, all I care about is him.

I ran my finger through his wet, sweaty hair. He starts to cry.

"What did you do?" I start kissing his sweaty head and forehead. He put his head in my chest.

Suddenly someone taps my shoulder, I turn around and it was Xavi.

"We have to go into the examination room" he informs me, I nodded and whispered in gavis ear.

"Hey we have to go." I says kissing his forehead, he looked up at me teary eyed.

I sat in the lobby praying to god that gavi was okay, I know how much gavi values his soccer career.

Suddenly the door opened and I sat up immediately.

"Ms. Lima, you may come in" the doctor informs me, I speed walk and I see gavi laying on the bed, he was upset.

This was giving me extreme nostalgia.

I stood next to him and held his hand, he opens his eyes and weakly smiled.

"Do you know what's wrong?" I asked softly, he shook his head 'no' the doctor cleared his throat, we both turned our head towards the doctor and I held Gavin's hand tightly.

"So, Mr. Gavi has unfortunate teared his anterior cruciate ligament, also known as his ACL." The doctor says, gavi starts to looking down. I sighed

"What about surgery?" I asked

"I will try to squeeze him in as soon as possible." He doctor says

"The recovery?" I ask

"8-9 months" he says softly, my jaw drops.

"8-9 months?" I say shocked

"Unfortunately." The doctor sighs
"Well, I'll leave you two alone, I'll be back." The doctor leaves the room.

Suddenly gavi starts sobbing, my heart breaks for him.

"Oh gavi..." I sighed comforting him.

We got to my house and I helped gavi out the car and bring his crutches to him, he was really upset.

I opened the door and let him in, once he got in I closed it.

"Amor, you can lay on the couch, I'll prepare your things." I offer

He smiles
"Thank you my love, I don't know what I would do without you" he kissed me on the lips and he walked over to the couch.
