The months passed and Christmas was near. Nicha used to go back to Thailand for holidays, but this year her plans were different, she intended to spend her time with Miyeon and Haku.

"Haku, ready to go out?" Minnie asked, with the leash in her hands and the bag on her shoulder.

The dog arrived wagging his tail, allowing Nicha to attach the leash to his collar, before taking the keys and leaving the house.

Minnie had the day off and had decided to go to Miyeon's house, like every Wednesday, to clean up before going to buy Christmas presents.

Nicha arrived at the brunette's house, opening the windows and starting dusting.

Haku ran to his kennel to rest, leaving Minnie to clean while listening to music.

Minnie was cleaning Miyeon's room, changing the sheets and dusting the furniture, when two photos caught her attention.
The Thai approached, taking the frame in her hands, looking at every detail.
In the first photo, there was a little girl between a man and a woman. The little girl was smiling as her arms were wrapped around her mom's neck and her hand was in her dad's.

"What kind of person were you, Miyeon?" Nicha asked the little girl in the photo before putting the frame back on the desk and picking up the next one.

The second photo was recent. Miyeon was an adult and was hugging an older lady from behind.

"She must be the grandmother who died a few months ago." the Thai surmised, before dusting the frame. "You must have suffered a lot, right Yeon?"

Nicha was starting to build a bond with the girl, the more she knew about her, the more she hoped for her awakening, to be able to meet her in person.

While cleaning, Minnie saw that Miyeon collected books and that they both liked the same genre: sapphic romance.

The Thai left the house, going to the library. She needed some new books, but she intended to buy some to read to Miyeon.

The girl looked in each shelf, looking for titles not present in Miyeon's library, before taking the books one by one and reading the last chapter.

Nicha had a habit of reading the last pages to make sure the book had a happy ending. She hated sad endings or no happy endings for the main couple, so she wanted to make sure to buy a good book for the brunette.

The Thai picked out some books, heading towards the register, before returning home to drop off Haku and the books.

Arriving home, Minnie took the puppy off the leash, leaving him free, taking one of the new books before leaving the apartment again to go to the hospital.

"Hey Yeon, how are you feeling today? I bought you some books to read." said the Thai, stroking the brunette's forehead. "Haku is fine. Every day we go out for a walk together. He's not alone, he's at my house now and he can't wait for you to come back, to go home with you. Please, wake up soon."

Nicha washed Miyeon as she did every three days, before giving her muscle massages, moving her legs and arms to prevent them from becoming stiff.

The Thai, after finishing, looked at the girl, caressing her face, admiring every detail.

"You are beautiful, do you know that Miyeon?" Minnie admitted, smiling. "Do I have any chance of becoming your friend when you open your eyes again, Miyeon? Will you hate me for what I did? Every night the memory of that evening appears in my dreams, I really don't know how to apologize. I have no right to live while you are in this bed."

The words the brunette had said to her after the accident returned to her head.

"Don't worry."

Minnie smiled bitterly, approaching the girl, giving her a kiss on the forehead, before sitting on the chair next to the bed. The Thai opened the book, touching the first page with her fingertips, clearing her throat, before starting to read aloud.

"This is one of my favorite books, you know Yeon. The title is 'Girlfriend Material' . I hope you like it. When I'm done reading it, I'll add it to your bookshelf in your room." Nicha said, before starting. "I'm sick of linen. The thick threads of the off-white fabric slide under my fingertips [...]"

The hours passed quickly and it was time for Minnie to go home.

The girl loved spending time with Miyeon, talking to her, reading books to her, washing her.

Nicha loved taking care of Miyeon, but she would have liked the girl to be awake, so as not to have one-sided conversations and learn about her preferences and habits.

The more time passed, the more Minnie felt the need to get closer to Miyeon, the girl intrigued her. No one had ever aroused so much interest in the Thai, so much desire to protect her and take care of her, as if she were a delicate flower.
