Chapter 12: Will you be there?

      Changbi tried to get her foot on the dagger that was stabbed into the wooded shelf by Jin Suyin. It was so much closer. She can barely touch it with the end of her touch but not enough to dislodge the dagger.

Changbi: Come on. Come on. Please. I've got this. 

    She tried again and with a little jump, the dagger slanted down. 

Changbi cried out: No! Damn!

   She sat back down in defeat. She was incapable of getting the dagger while Jin Ling is in danger. 

     A moment later and Jin Suyin ran through the mirror as she held her arm out. It was bleeding slightly with a bite mark. She was seething through her teeth.

Changbi stood up. She knew immediately that Fairy was being a good boy and protecting Jin Ling. She does not know the fate of Jin Ling yet but even knowing that Jin Suyin had encountered Jin Ling made her worry.

Jin Suyin: It's time to begin this!

Changbi: Jin Guniang, please! You must stop this.

Jin Suyin: Shut up! The sooner you are dead, the sooner I can be head of the clan. My spies for Jin Ling.

     Jin Suyin grabbed the dagger and Changbi found herself unable to decide what to do.

In the split of a second, everything ran through Changbi's head. She can't hurt Jin Suyin. The Jin clan won't be very happy with that. How can she avoid the dagger when she is chained to the wall? Does anyone else know about this place? Is Jin Ling still alive?

Jin Suyin brought the dagger up and strike down on Changbi. Changbi quickly dodged. JIn Suyin continues slashing the air trying to get Changbi. 

Changbi tried to dodge the best she could but her chained was at it's end and she couldn't move anywhere else. As Jin Suyin stabbed downwards, Changbi caught her hand and pushed her away.

Changbi: Jin Suyin, stop. You've gone mad. Have you forgotten all our times at the Mo Mansion?

Jin Suyin catches her breath then lets out a laugh: You think that the few months you spent being my maid would prevent me from killing you? I killed the family that raised me from a child to get to the Jin Clan. I'm not going to let a lowly servant stop me. Attachments are below me.

JIn Suyin lung at Changbi again and managed to cut her forearm. Changbi stumbles back into the wall and down onto the ground. Jin Suyin slashes at Changbi again but this time she makes contact with a metal sword that vibrates the bones in her arms and sent her stumbling back a few paces and dropping the dagger.

    Jin Chan had arrived and put himself between Changbi and Jin Suyin. 

Jin Chan: Nuan, are you okay?

          Changbi was still shaken up. She really didn't think Jin Suyin had the heart to hurt her. After she got cut, she had lost hope and it was as if she could physically feel her heart shrink back and shake. 

Jin Suyin stood up: Jin Chan! What are you doing? She's trying to start a war between the clans. Because she is Wen Clan's blood. The runaways from the Wen clan that went to live with the Yiling Laozu. That's where she came from.

Jin Chan turned to look at Changbi.

Changbi: Is he seriously thinking that I want to start a war? 

Though Changbi doesn't say anything, Jin Chan sees the pleading and shock in her eyes.

Jin Chan: She doesn't know anything. 

Jin Chan turned back to face Jin Suyin and she blew a powder into his eyes, blinding him. Jin Chan's eyes burned. He couldn't open his eyes and he was disorientated as he stumbled back and fell onto the ground.
