The Spice Mine

You stood on a cliff looking down at stormtroopers who pushed wookies along. You held your hand over your lightsaber as you took a deep breath before hearing an ship fly in.

(Y/N): Great... Had a plan and all...

It opened fire and gunned down four stormtroopers before landing and allowing four people, A Mandalorian, A Lassat, A man and a kid to disembark and fight against the empire.

(Y/N): Might aswell help them.

You drew your pistol and jumped down and landed behind a stormtrooper squad who were standing and laying down suppressing fire.

Stormtrooper: What the-

You shot him in the neck as his squad mates turned around and you opened fire and gunned down two more before rolling out of the cross fire and the Mandalorian gunned down the other two.

You gave a salute before more stormtroopers ran over and you vaulted over a crate next to the man, mandalorian and Lassat.

(Y/N): I thought I was gonna be doing this on my own. Had this all planned out.

Man: Well be glad you aren't the only one who wants to save the wookies.

You saw something that resembled a lightsaber on his belt.

(Y/N): Is that a-

A thud was heard as the wookies knocked out the remaining stormtroopers and the boy walked forward proud until a loud screeching sound was heard and you turned around.

(Y/N): I hate that sound...

Three tie fighters rose up and opened fire on the rebels ship but one got shot down before being replaced by a carrier which fired and caused you all to jump into cover and the rebel ship to move out of the way.

The carrier landed and opened its main hatch to reveal an ISB agent and a detachment of stormtroopers.

Agent: Take them down!

You all moved into cover and the man got on his come link.

Man: Go! Lead the TIEs away and give yourself maneuvering room!

Pilot: I am not leaving you behind!

Man: No, you're not. We're running a 22-Pickup.

Mandalorian: Seriously?

Man: You have a better option?

Lassat: Jump into the pit and get it over with?

Pilot: AII right, I'll be back. Make sure you're ready.

Boy: 22-Pickup? Care to let me in on the secret?

Man: Kid, I'm about to let everyone in on the secret.

The man stood up and put together his lightsaber as the stormtroopers stopped firing.

Agent: All troopers, focus your fire on... On the Jedi.

You jumped in front of the man and ignited your cyan blade and deflected a few shots before force pushing the ISB agent and stormtroopers back.

Man: What the...

He had a look of shock but looked back at the others.

Man: Time to go!

Lassat: Right... Everyone, into the container!

The stormtroopers began to recover as you and the man began to deflect their blaster bolts and pushed you both back to the containers.

Man: Zeb! Hera's incoming!

Zeb: Get in, you furballs! Now! Kanan, I think you inspired the kid into, well, doing something like you would do!

You all got into the container and Zeb closed the doors.

Pilot: Magnetic seal locked.

Zeb: I hate this part.

The ship flew off and Kanan climbed a ladder and you, Zeb and the Mandalorian followed him into the hold and the wookies climbed up aswell.

Zeb: Where are you going?

Kanan: To help Ezra!

He ran out of the hold as you sat against the wall.

Zeb: Hey, what are you doing.

(Y/N): Sitting. If you jumped off a cliff your knees would hurt too.

Mandalorian: Thanks for the help back there.

(Y/N): No problem. Felt good to strike a blow against the empire after having to run for so long.

Mandalorian: I know the feeling.

She removed her helmet.

Mandalorian: I'm Sabine.

A twilek climbed down a ladder.

Sabine: That's Hera, you've already met Kanan and Zeb...

A droid rolled past.

Sabine: And that is... Chopper.

She offered her hand out and helped you up.

(Y/N): Name's (Y/N)...

Kanan and Ezra walked into the cargo hold with a baby wookie. Kana looked down at you and Hera.

Kanan: Can we have a chat?

Timeskip

You sat at a table as Kanan and Hera looked at each other.

Kanan: I just... Don't believe it... I thought I was the only one left...

(Y/N): Same here... My master died five years ago... To stormtroopers. She died saving me.

Hera: How old are you?

(Y/N): 17... Yeah...

Her a and Kanan looked at eachother and got up.

Kanan: Can you give us a minute?

You nodded and they both walked out for a few minutes. You looked up as they both walked over again.

Kanan: How would you like to join our crew?

(Y/N): If you are willing to have me, I wouldn't mind staying.

Hera: That's great. We'll try to get you set up with a room.

They both stood up.

(Y/N): Thank you.

Kanan: No, thank you. We'll speak to the wookies and leave Ezra off at Lothal. For now, get some rest. You earned it.

They both walked away as you lay on the sofa and closed your eyes.

Many hours later...

You opened your eyes and sat up. You looked around and saw Ezra handing Kanan back his lightsaber. You let out a smile as Sabine walked over and sat next to you.

Sabine: Welcome to the crew.

(Y/N): Thanks. I bet none of you expected a Jedi and a boy to join your crew in one day?

Sabine: Yeah... But I'm glad, so is Hera, Zeb and Kanan. Just be careful of Chopper... I'm fairly sure he has a screw lose.

You both looked over at the Dejarik table.

Sabine: Want a round?

(Y/N): Sure...

Sabine turned the board on and you both got ready to play a game.
