Chapter8: I'm here

Chad's POV

2 hours later

I opened the door to Hayley's house and walked in. I saw her come out of the living room. She ran up to me and cried into my chest.

"Shh it's okay baby. I'm here. It's okay" I whispered.

Taylor came out from the living room soon after.

"Thank you so much for helping her bud" I said shaking his hand "I really appreciate it".

"It's okay dude" he said with a smile.

Soon he left and Hayley and I went up to her room. We sat on her bed and and I got my laptop out and we cuddled up and watched family guy.

"Do you want to tell me exactly what happened" I asked, interrupting the episode.

"Well before he..you know..he was acting really clingy and weird. I said I needed the bathroom and he followed me. We walked through an ally way and started saying that you weren't good for me and that he wanted me back...and when I told him no he-" she burst into tears. I held her close and rubbed her back.

"It's okay" I whispered "soon he'll be locked up"

She rested her head on my chest and continued watching family guy.

"You're so strong" I whispered in her ear.

She cuddled closer and placed one of her legs over mine.

"I'm so glad you're home" she said. "I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight if I were on my own."

"Have you told the police?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I'll call them tomorrow" I said "it's a little late to call them now"

"Why what time is it" she asked whilst yawning.

"2:30 A.M" I said.

"Stay awake with me until I fall asleep" she said.

"Of course"

She leaned up and kissed pecked my lips. She cuddled back into my chest and we continued to watch family guy.

We must have fallen asleep because I was awaken by a terrible scream. I felt Hayley's hands squeeze my sides, she screamed and cried into my chest.

"Baby. Baby its okay. Baby I'm here. Shh" I said, stroking her hair until I felt she was calm.

"Bad dream?" I asked.

She nodded and cuddled closer.

"I'm here baby, I'm here. We'll get through this. Your so strong" I said, holding her tight.

"I just can't belive that happened. What if I wasn't strong enough to fight him off Chad?"

"Enough with the 'what if's' you kicked ass didn't you?" I chuckled. She nodded and laughed aswell.

"You're so brave" I said.

"Now lets get some proper sleep" I said as I lifted the laptop off of us and placed it on the floor.

I slid my hands up her top which made her flinch for some reason as I lifted it off.

Hayley's POV

Chad slid his hands up my top. It was exactly what Josh did. I flinched and tried to hold back the tears.

"What's wrong?" Chad asked.

"J-josh did that when he..." I breathed for a second "when he attacked me" I continued.

"Sorry baby" he said "I'll be careful"

"Thank you" I whispered "it didn't remind me of it much though. Your touch is different from his. Your touch gives me butterflies" I said, looking deeply into his eyes.

He leaned in, I thought he was gonna kiss me passionately, but instead he placed a light kiss on my fore head. I really appreciate him respecting the fact that I'm not in the right frame of mind to kiss deeply right now.

I took off my jeans and rolled over. I heard Chad rustling around, trying to take his clothes off.

I felt his warm body press against my back as he pulled me closer to him.

He stroked my hip as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
