Chapter One: Hidden Love

Emmanuel and Preston, supposed friends, in reality, both are head over heels for each other. Are they gay? Yes. Do they know? Who knows.
In every school there's a pattern, the popular guys that are rude to everyone except each other, the popular girls that hang out with the popular guys, the weird kids, the people that are chill with everyone, and finally, the description of our main protagonists, the soft guys. They are all so different except for one—very important— thing. They're all gay. Yes, the popular girls ACT like they like the popular guys, but in reality they always want to kiss their pookie's lips.
Emmanuel and Preston are, to say the least, popular. Not exactly THE popular kids, but everyone knows them and they know almost everyone. Obviously though, they are mainly friends with each other. They only really hang out with the other, and of course, have a crush on the other. No one knows they like each other which is wild 'cause those guys are so gay bruh. For example, at sleepovers they will sleep in the same bed, and for justification, they say, "No homo man." EXCUSE ME?? Super homo if you ask me. At school they always are together, they purposely got their classes paired so they can always be together.
Today was a warm day, just a couple of weeks after the start of school. There was a chill in the air whenever a breeze swept through. Their first class together wasn't really a class, as it was a homeroom, and just a class to start off the day to make up tardy work, or just to goof off with friends. For our main gays, it's always the latter. They weren't sat beside each other, but did that stop them from talking? No, of course not. Since it was homeroom, they were allowed to move beside each other, but of course couldn't be loud. If they were, the teacher would send them back with a stern warning. Today was no different.
Emmanuel walked over to Preston's desk today, which was contrast to most days. Everyday since Emmanuel found out about his crush, he'd always have a feeling as if cotton had been stuffed in his head and his heart was going to explode. He pulled up a chair on the other side of Preston's desk, and scooted himself in as he greeted the shorter man.
"Hey, Preston. How was your trip? I saw your story. The views looked so cool! I wish I had gone." Emmanuel lightly chuckled.
"It was so much fun! I wish you had came too. The Acropolis was soooo old. We had to climb so many stairs, we had to walk up dirt paths, walk up stairs, and even more stairs. It was exhausting but so worth it! Once we got to the top, we got to see the entire city. Those were the pictures I posted on my story." Preston yapped back.
Emmanuel listened to every word, as if it was from the gods.
     Bluds so in love.
"It's a shame you didn't bring me," he sighed jokingly. "It's like you hate me."
He only acts like this so Preston will say...
"Oh cmon you know you're the most important person I have!" Preston chirped back to prove the accusation false.
It worked everytime without fail. Emmanuel internally laughed.
"So, how was your break?" Preston asked after a brief moment.
Emmanuel didn't have much to say, "Not nearly as exciting as yours obviously, it never is. I mostly lounged around and binge watched shows. I started this awful show called Q-Force, God it sucked. We should watch it sometime."
"I wish I got to do that all break, sounds fun."
"Why? You always get to travel you should be considered lucky."
Preston shifted uncomfortably, "Nah, my parents travel too much. I think they're trying to make up for...you know what."
     "Oh sorry..." replied back Emmanuel.
Now if Emmanuel was being real, he had no clue in the world what Preston was talking about, but he wasn't going to say that obviously, so he just went along.
"I still can't believe they would do that, WHILE IM HOME??" Preston yelled.
Oh. THAT... Emmanuel thought.
"Yeah i'd probably kill myself if I saw that too."
"Whatever we should talk about something else I feel more grossed out thinking about it." Preston tried.
Emmanuel let him, "Alright what about the drama between Paul and Devon?"
"They were dating, then stopped, then got back together!"
"No way, you have to tell me it all," Preston was intrigued.
The rest of the class period was of drama, love stories, and of course, gays.
