first person perspective

-------------------

THE train was filled with people talking to one another or speaking on the phone. Here I was, listening to music which blasted my eardrums. I was skipping several songs because, I don't like them. On the train, a brown-haired child with a bug box and a net was sitting next to me staring at his bugs. I looked around the train, there was a man and a woman speaking happily, I think, but otherwise, everyone's eyes were glued onto their phones.

How boring.

Checking the time, it was 6:55pm. All of a sudden the lights turned off with a crash following. Screams loud, panicked faces, including mine. Then, the train stopped. There was an announcement in the speakers now.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE..."

"P-PLEASE, EVACUATE... EVACUATE...!"

A flash of red light appeared on the left side of the train with crackles. With the crackles, there was a voice.

"THE FREE SERVICE OF THE 8612TH PLANETARY SYSTEM HAS COME TO AN END."

"THE MAIN SCENARIO HAS BEGUN."

Oh how I jinxed myself.

The red light had a white thing in the middle forming a... furry creature? I stared at it with widened eyes. It looked sorta cute and scary at the same time, but I couldn't describe it at all. Murmurs and whispers filled the train as the creature spoke absolute gibberish. People began speaking up about how ugly the creature was. The furry creature finally spoke.

"Testing. Testing. Can everyone hear me? Gosh, the language patch was malfunctioning for a bit." The creature spoke. "Can everyone hear me now?" It was interrupted by someone, obviously.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" He said.

"Pardon?"

"Are you filming a movie? I have to go to my audition."

"Oh, an audition at this hour, huh? Haha!" I seconded that. "I guess I should have done more research. They told me I would have the most customers if we put up the paywall at around 7pm." The creature said. Confusion surrounded the room.

And where was I during all this? On my seat because I don't see a reason to do anything. I don't have things to do anyways, I'd rather use this time to vibe to my music anyways. As people grown more confused and angered, the creature's voice boomed suddenly.

"...TO BE QUIET!" The guy who interrupted the creature had his head blown as panic spread over to my face. Eyes widened, hands trembling, as heads blown, screams loud, as the creature continued calmly.

"We're not filming a movie."

Another head blown.

"This isn't a dream."

I wish it was.

"Or a novel."
