𖤐 CHAPTER III - WEAPONS OF DESTINY 𖤐

• NARRATOR POV •

Y/N, Cole, Jay and Zane wandered into the Fire temple in order to find Kai and Sensei Wu.

"Kai! Sensei!!" Cole called out, desperate to find them.

"The sword of fire was here, as well as our friends, but I only sense loss." Zane said, with a defeated sigh, "We are too late. The elemental weapons have left this realm and are now in the underworld. The end is drawing near."

"Ugh.. Great." Cole scoffed, "The one place no mortal can cross over."

Kai, who was inside the temple, seemed to speak up, "We might not be able to cross over.." The temple doors opened, to reveal Nya and Kai on the back of a dragon, "But a dragon can.."

Y/N was immediately drawn to it, walking over and feeling it's scales, on the contrast Cole screamed and hid behind one of the pillars.

"Our father used to tell us stories about the dragons, that they were mystical creatures that belong to both worlds and ferried between them." Nya explained as she and Kai dismounted.

"Are you insane!?" Cole stammered.

"Once he realized we were trying to protect the sword of fire, he actually became quite a softie." Kai said as he played with the dragon, "knock it off.."

Nya giggled, and Jay approached her, groaning a sentence only a translator would understand.

"He cannot talk, but he wants to know if you like blue." Zane translated. Y/N walked up to his brother, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"It's my favourite color." Nya said, to which Jay groaned the word yes, Kai shook his head and Y/N made his hands kiss. He got smacked by both Kai and Jay.

"Nya.." Kai muttered, as things grew serious.

"This is goodbye isn't it.." Kai nodded, "Come back to me in one piece, okay? I don't want to have to run the store on my own."

"I promise I won't be gone for long." Kai promised. Y/N nudged Jay, pointing to himself and then Nya, Jay who seemed to get the idea by some siblings wisdom attempted to say something, which Zane translated.

"Jay said that Y/N could stay with you for company if you would like." Zane said.

"Oh.. That would be nice actually." Nya answered, and Y/N turned, nodded to his brother and hugged him.

"I'll be fine." He groaned out, Zane translated it and Y/N nodded before he walked over to Nya.

"I'll keep a candle lit outside our shop until you return." Nya said to Kai.

Y/N and Nya were almost back at the shop, Nya asking basic yes and no questions to Y/N.

"So you're Jay's twin sibling huh?" She asked, and Y/N nodded. Nya opened the door to the shop and went straight to lighting the candle.

"Do you like dragons?" Nya asked, basing the question on Y/N's earlier admiration at the Fire dragon earlier. Y/N nodded.

"You don't speak much, do you?" Y/N wasn't sure whether this was a nod or shake question, but still shook.

"Each to their own. You can steal Kai's bed whilst he isn't here, I'm sure he won't mind." Nya said with a giggle, before she looked out the window at the dark clouds, "We should get some sleep, it's late."

Y/N nodded again, before walking towards the respective room he'd be sleeping in and laying in bed, pulling the sheets over himself. He couldn't sleep much, he was worried. Very worried.

The next morning, Y/N wandered into the shop to find Nya setting up. She seemed to be struggling though, so like a good guest he offered to help, in his own silent way of course.

"Oh.. No you don't need to. Really.." She said, as Y/N offered to take some of the boxes off of her. As he persisted Nya sighed and smiled again, "If you're sure.." She muttered before dumping a couple of boxes into Y/N's arms. He put the things out with ease, he wasn't as strong as he was agile but he could definetly lift a couple boxes of metal.

As the day drew on, worry grew in both Y/N and Nya's heads. Their siblings weren't back, hence why the candle was still lit, and it was starting to worry them, as well, they'd already done any menial tasks in the place.

But, by pure coincidence or luck, the two perked up when they noticed Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane and Wu approach.

"Kai!!" Nya yelled, as she ran to Kai and gave him a massive hug. Y/N walked over to Jay after he had accepted his demanded hug from Nya, and squeezed him.

"Alright, ow your crushing meee-" Jay complained with a breathless laugh, causing Y/N to let go.

"I'm so happy your back.." Nya cheered in delight as the citizens of Ignacia celebrated.

"For now.. but it's not over. Lord Garmadon will return." Kai warned, dampening the mood, the citizens beginning to mutter with worry.

"And we'll be ready for him!!" Cole reassured, lifting their spirits once again. The Ninja high fived each other with their golden weapons, the power making a strong blast which knocked each of them to the ground.

"Okay.. We gotta remember not to do that again." Kai said, groaning as he rubbed his head.

"Good idea."

"Yeah, we'll stick to High Fives instead."

"Agreed."

Everyone laughed, which made Zane confused.

"Was that a joke?" He asked.
