Ruby was fast asleep in her bed "hey" a familiar voice said making her eyebrows furrow and twitched "hey wake up"

[ Rosalie Sofia Thorn- 21 years old ]

Rosalie sighed in frustration "ignoring me huh little punk" Rosalie said as she spoke again "hey Ruby (Rascal) Richmond wake up already" Rosalie said

Ruby heard the loud tone of voice and woke up then glanced around to see Rosalie sitting on the edge of her bed making ruby close her eyes

"I must still be dreaming there's no way that Rosalie is here right now she's still in Paris" Ruby said as Rosalie smacked her forehead

"Does that feel like a dream" Rosalie said annoyed "ow...nope that's very real" Ruby said getting out of bed and seeing Rosalie

"What are you doing here" Ruby said in confusion "a certain 14 year old sister of mine got concerned when you didn't wake up for about a week so here I am trying to resuscitate you" Rosalie said

"Lily..." Ruby said with a deep sigh "what about Erik and Erina" Ruby said "their downstairs talking to your boss Ms Stoddard" Rosalie said

"Your soulmate, Barnabas was it...he's a very interesting yet odd individual" Rosalie said looking at Ruby making her laugh a bit

"Well I won't love him any less" Ruby said closing her eyes and breathing softly "I can see that...I saw the bite marks on his neck your rather possessive aren't you" Rosalie said

"I...." Ruby looked away feeling embarrassed and Rosalie laughed a bit "oh dear what am I gonna do with you... my best friend always getting herself into trouble" Rosalie said

"Agh your not gonna let me live that down are you Ruby said as Rosalie chuckled "not a chance" Rosalie said and flicked her head

Then Rosalie looked towards the door to see Barnabas wanting to embrace his beloved "I'll let you both get some privacy" Rosalie said as she walked out

Rosalie saw Lily about to go and eavesdrop but she pulled on her ear "ow ow ow why" Lily said as Rosalie dragged her downstairs

Barnabas looked at Ruby who was still in bed looking at him then she sat up in her bed "how are you feeling my dear" Barnabas said sitting on the edge of her bed

"I'm fine Barnabas just needed a few days of rest" Ruby said as he grabbed her hand and kissed her knuckles gently Ruby looked at Barnabas

"Barnabas...I know how to make you be in the sunlight again" Ruby said making Barnabas silent and looked at her "what are you talking about" Barnabas said

"If you take a goddesses blood it can help you walk around in the sun and it won't let you thirst for blood ever again" Ruby said

"My dear it does not matter to me" Barnabas said "But I want you to be happy" Ruby said sniffling as she tries not to cry

"Please just try for me" Ruby said as Barnabas wipes away her tears "very well" Barnabas said as he goes to ruby's neck and bites it

Ruby didn't feel pain but she winced having felt the fangs touch her skin he pulled away and the sun shone bright he did not burn in the sunlight "Thank you my dear" he said

A few day's later...

After Rosalie, her husband Erik and baby Erina left with Ruby back to Paris and Rorsch left with kier and Zephyr back to Japan

Ruby was the only one who stayed as she sat on the edge of widow's hill cliff looking over the scenery as Barnabas found her sitting near the edge

He walked up to her and pulled her up "you should be careful my dear you must not get too close to the edge or you'll fall" Barnabas said bury his head in the crook of her neck

Ruby put a hand in his hair "I am careful...even if I did fall I can't feel pain anyway" Ruby said "I would still worry for you" Barnabas said

Ruby turned to face Barnabas and smiled wrapping her arms around his neck "I love you Barnabas Collins" Ruby said "I love you as well my dear" Barnabas said

Ruby leaned in and kissed Barnabas as he wrapped his arms around his waist and twirled her then they walked back to the mansion happily hand in hand like a twist of destiny pulled them together
