"Just come spend the weekend with me," Franny begged Mia.

Mia met Franny when they were in 9th grade. Franny was always the best person to Mia, and Mia hadn't always appreciated her friendship. Mia finally saw that Franny was the only person who meant no ill will towards her after what happened to Mia. She really was her best friend.

"My mom may say no. She's been getting stricter with me because of my situation." Franny smiled, looking down at Mia's belly.

Franny was the second person she told, Mia's parents being first. Franny believed her right away when she told her what happened and blamed herself for letting Mia even get involved with Brie to begin with.

"Look, my mom will talk to your mom, and it will be fine, I promise," Franny assured her. And like always, Franny was right.

"Let me see your phone, I wanna scroll Facebook," Mia told Franny. Franny tossed her phone to her and laughed. "Go for it, its really dry if you ask me," Franny smirked and went back to her laptop.

Mia began scrolling down Franny's home page, until a particular post popped out at her.

Mia knew she shouldn't even be considering what she was. Not after everything she had gone through. But she couldn't help it, she was drawn to it.

"Who is Jacob Roberts?" Mia asked Franny. Franny shut her laptop and smiled at Mia. "He's Ron's younger cousin. Red head, right?" Franny asked, still smiling. Ron was Franny's boyfriend and Mia's other friend.

"Yeah that one." Mia answered her. "He's a total cutie, and he is only a year under us. Why?" Franny questioned her.

"Well, he has a post on here from 24 minutes ago that says "Hit me up if you want my number," and I would be lying if I said he hasn't caught my eye," Mia giggled. For a single moment, she had let go of the worry and guilt of what was growing ever so quickly in her belly.

"Oh my god! Log on to your Facebook and add him!" Franny pressured her. Mia didn't need much convincing, because what would really come of just adding someone and maybe just talking to them?

He added her back almost instantly. She liked his post about hitting him up, and to her surprise, he messaged her his phone number almost immediately.

"Do I text him?" she asked Franny, nervous about talking to an adorable and hot redhead, whose profile picture was him shirtless, wearing a fedora and flexing. Yeah, she was drooling already.

"Duh, text him! He practically sent you his number as soon as you added him! He's clearly interested in you too." Franny shoved Mia's arm. Mia wanted to text him, wanted to get to know him. But then nausea hit her.

"I can't Franny. I'm, you know, and he would never want that. He's only 16 and I couldn't ever ask him to be anything to me because of this," Mia motions towards her belly.

Franny sighs and shakes her head. "Any man would be lucky to have you, and everything that comes WITH you, you do realize that, right?" Mia sighs and rubs her head.

"He's just a teenage boy, Fran, I could never take away his life because of what happened to me. That isn't fair to him."

Franny grabs her phone and types in the number he gave Mia. "Nope, were not doing this. You can't keep what could possibly be the best thing ever from happening to you just because you're in a shitty situation. If he ends up really liking you, then you just tell him what happened. If he really cares, he won't leave," Franny sends a texts and Mia becomes nervous.

She knew he deserved the right to know about her current situation even before getting attached to her. She knew she didn't want to string him along until he really liked her and then drop this bomb onto him. But for some reason, she couldn't stop Fran from texting him for her. And she hated herself for it.

"His last name seems familiar to me, and I don't know why," Mia told Franny. "Maybe you've heard it before between me and Ron," Franny assures her. For some reason though, Mia didn't believe that to be the case. But she couldn't quite put her fingers on why his name was making her feel the way she was.

Mia was feeling great. He seemed so sweet and funny, and she found herself already liking him.

"Shit, Fran. I can't do this," Mia began to spiral. "I can't lead him on without him knowing about everything. He is too nice already," Mia felt her eyes fill up with tears.

"Listen to me," Franny said taking Mia's hand into hers. "Tell him if and when he decides to ask you out. Just be straightforward and say "Look, before I agree to this, there is something you need to know," Fran assures her.

Mia nods. "Okay, I just don't know if I can do this talking stage and not get attached and then him running the opposite way when he finds out what's wrong with me," Mia lets the tears fall down her cheeks.

"Well lucky for you babe, you have me. And he would be nuts if he didn't continue pining after you even with our little one growing inside you." She smiles down at Mia and Mia lets out a laugh.

" Oh, so this one is yours too, huh?" Mia lets out a laugh and Franny straightens up. "Just call me Daddy," Mia falls onto her back and this time, laughs so hard her chest hurts.

"I love you Fran, thank you for being here for me through everything."

Franny grabs her hand and links them together. "I love you, Mia. You deserve to be happy."

Mia lets Franny's words echo in her head. "I do deserve to be happy," she whispers to herself before nodding off to the thoughts of a certain redheaded boy filling her dreams.
