"Hyung?" a soft voice called out, startling the man engrossed in yet another song.
"Felix? What are you doing here? You haven't left?" Chan's confusion was evident at seeing Felix at the JYPE building at 2 in the morning.
"Oh, I just wrapped up another Korean practice book," Felix replied, explaining the reason.
"Oh..."
"Are you not heading back to the dorm?" Felix asked, puzzled by Chan's lingering presence.
"No, I thought of completing this song. Han and Changbin have finished their parts. It'll probably take me an hour or two more," Chan explained.
"But it's already 2 a.m. You need rest for our scheduled practices tomorrow," Felix urged, trying to persuade Chan to return to the dorm with him.
"Nah, I'm good. You go ahead; we'll catch up tomorrow," Chan assured him.
"Please? I don't want to go alone at this hour..." Felix's pleading gaze held a touch of puppy eyes, knowing well that Chan couldn't resist his adorable look.
"Alright, alright, you win," Chan chuckled, unable to resist Felix's pleading gaze. "I'll pack up and head back with you. But you better promise me you'll get some rest too."
Felix beamed, relieved that Chan relented. "Promise! Thanks, Hyung."
Chan thought for a moment. He knew Felix didn't like being alone late at night. "Alright, Felix. Let's go together," he finally agreed. They packed up their things and walked out of the building, chatting along the way. Felix felt relieved, glad that Chan decided to accompany him. They laughed and joked as they made their way back to the dorm. Chan was grateful for Felix's concern, even though he was the younger one.
The streets were quiet as they walked back to the dorm. Felix hummed softly, and Chan couldn't help but smile. Suddenly, Felix stopped in his tracks, staring intently at something in the distance. "What's wrong?" Chan asked, concerned.
Felix pointed at a stray cat sitting near a garbage bin. "Hyung, look! It's a cat! Can we say hello?" he pleaded, eyes wide with excitement.
Chan chuckled. "Sure, let's go." They approached the cat cautiously, but as they got closer, the cat darted away. "Aw, it ran off," Felix sighed, disappointed.
"Don't worry, we'll meet more cats another time," Chan reassured him, ruffling Felix's hair.
They continued their walk, chatting about their day and making plans for the upcoming week. As they reached the dorm, Felix turned to Chan. "Thanks for coming with me, Hyung. I feel better now."
"Anytime, Felix. You take care, alright?" Chan smiled warmly.
Felix nodded, giving Chan a quick hug before they both headed to their rooms for some well-deserved rest.
The next morning, the sun streamed through the dorm windows, slowly rousing Chan from his sleep. As he groggily sat up, he noticed Felix already awake, engrossed in yet another Korean practice book.
"Felix, did you even sleep?" Chan yawned, rubbing his eyes.
Felix looked up with a grin. "Just a little. I wanted to review some more Korean phrases."
Chan chuckled. "You're a hardworking one, aren't you?"
As they got ready for the day, Chan couldn't help but admire Felix's dedication. Despite the late night, Felix seemed energetic and ready for their scheduled practices.
At breakfast, Chan noticed Felix quietly yawning while flipping through the practice book. "Felix, you should get more rest. You'll master Korean phrases better when you're well-rested," Chan advised.
