When I got home, my twin brother, Craig, was sitting in his Impala in the driveway. He was listening to ACDC or Metallica or something along those lines. Frankly, I never paid attention to what it was.

As I walked up to the front door, my dad's Chevy Silverado pulled into the driveway. I waved and he waved back. Then I opened the door and went inside.

The house smelled like cinnamon, Dad's signature scent. Dad worked at a perfume company, so the house always smelled amazing.

I threw my Converse shoes on the floor in front of the door and went upstairs. In my room, I set my backpack down on the bed. Then I sat down at my desk and turned on my laptop. Time to spend my summer as a hermit... Again.

I hated not having friends. I didn't even have friends online. And because I didn't have any friends, I didn't have anyone to hang out with. Therefore, I would spend my summer watching YouTube videos. Ugh! I need a life!

I had one wish. I wanted to do something. Get out of my house. Make friends. Not be a hermit. But that was pointless. I'd never get out of the house. I'd never go anywhere.

"Reggie!" Dad yelled. I ignored him and went on YouTube. A few Pewdiepie videos sat on the screen. I was about to click on one when Dad yelled again. "Regina Lee Meyer! Come down here!"

"Coming!" I replied. What did I do wrong? Are my grades not good enough? As I walked out of the room, I saw the picture frame on my nightstand. It was me, Craig, Dad, and Dad's husband Fitzgerald, whom we called Fitz. Maybe Fitz is back from visiting his family?

I went downstairs and saw Dad with Craig. They were sitting at the island in the kitchen. When I entered the room, Craig gave me a weird look, as if to say "what's going on?" I shrugged and sat down next to him. Dad stared at us both.

"Reggie. Craig." Dad started. "I have an opportunity for you." My eyes widened and Craig and I exchanged a look of surprise and confusion.

"What is it Dad?" Craig asked. Dad cleared his throat. Ohgod what did we do?

"Would you two like to go stay with auntie Sage?" Dad asked. Wait what? Craig and I exchanged a look again.

"Uh... Dad?" Craig said. Dad raised an eyebrow. "Uh... Aunt Sage lives in London." Dad nodded.

"London, England." I added. Dad looked at us and nodded again.

"Yeah? Your point is?" Dad said. Craig and I exchanged a look again. Dad's older sister Sage had moved to London ten years ago, after she divorced the man she had married. That same year, Dad divorced Mom and married Fitz two years later.

"Dad, how are we supposed to stay with her?" I asked. "She lives halfway across the globe and it costs a lot to travel to and from the UK." Dad rolled his eyes.

"Do you think I don't know that?" He said. He pulled some papers out of his pocket. Plane tickets. "These are two tickets to London. You and Craig will be taking a flight tomorrow morning. And you'll stay with Sage for a year or so."

"Excuse me? We'll be doing what for a year!?" Craig exclaimed. He sounded excited. I was shocked. Dad laughed at our facial expressions.

"I already talked to Sage. You'll both be getting jobs at her pub and saving up money-" Dad paused. "I mean pounds so that you can buy your own tickets to come back home." I stood up and took a couple steps away from the island.

"A-are you serious?" I stammered.

"Will we be living with Sage the whole time or do we eventually have to get our own places?" Craig asked. Dad shook his head.

"You'll live with Sage. She has a three bedroom apartment above her pub." Dad explained. "You need to pack all your clothes and whatever else you'll need for a whole year."

In an instant, Craig was on his feet. "I better go pack!" He exclaimed. Then he dashed from the room. Wow.

"Well Reggie? What do you say?" Dad asked. I turned back to him. He was smiling. I took a deep breath.

"This is really cool, Dad. Really. And I've always wanted to get out of here, but... London, Dad? That's halfway across the world!" I said. Dad nodded slowly. "I just... I don't know if I can do this... Not by myself..."

Dad walked around the island and came over to me. Then he hugged me. "I know its tough, Reggie. But this'll be fun!" He leaned away from me but still held me. "Besides, you won't be alone. You'll have Craig and Sage!"

"I guess..." I muttered. I tried to hug Dad back, but he continued.

"You'll meet so many people, Reggie! And you'll make friends!" He said. "You never know. You might find something else too." I looked up at Dad's face and he winked. My eyes widened again.

It won't be so bad. I can work and get money so I can come back. I don't have to be lonely. I'll have Craig. And Sage. They'll be there. I can do this.

"Okay." I said. "I'll go." Dad clapped his hands together and pulled away from me.

"Excellent!" He said. "Now, go and pack up your stuff! Then we are going out to eat!" Before I could say anything else, Dad left the room.

I must be dreaming! There's no way in Hell that this is happening! I literally just thought about this before Dad told us about it! I am psychic! I rolled my eyes. Well, either way, its happening. Its actually happening. I'm going to London!

Hey guys! That was chapter two! Ooooh London! I've never been out of the United States, but one day I wanna go to London. It'd be really cool to have the opportunity that Reggie has and go to London! Anyways, vote, comment, and follow if you want!
