The alarm clock ringing had saved her from the nightmare she was having or rather had jolted her forcefully to awaken. Still gripped by fear she prayed with eyes wide open, hands clapped together, beads of sweat taking a stroll on her face in two's and she fell asleep for an hour.
Its 5 am and the alarm clock rang again, not surprised by its loud screaming at her ears she purposely gave it a slap to shut it up.
Fredella! Fredella!! James at the porch already, get your lazy ass out of the bed my dear you've got a long day ahead said her dearest aunt Ani.
According to aunt Ani she was adopted. That was the only visible information she could get each time she tried to get a valid one, its either that or aunt Ani's tells her to go for a walk, "How lame" she would exclaim.
She immediately took her bath, dressed up and put up some lip gloss, she wasn't really a fan of makeup. Aunt Ani had helped her wove her hair into a nice pony tail. She had a natural thick black African curly hair which aunt Ani always praises.
She stepped out of the house to embraced the soft thin due on her nose, it made her nose wiggle and she was about to let out a sneeze when someone stretched a tissue towards her and she took it. Looking up she saw James ,"hey Jamie boy, wassup?"
"Cool dearest Della. Ready for today's hike girl boss Already called in we have to be there before 10, got to have breakfast, lets go".
A cold breezy wind rushes past her and she shivers "oh right i forgot to get my coat could we make a turn?" "Alright babe we still got time go grab that wrinkled old blanky you call a coat " "try get one pighead" with that she ran out into the house to avoid getting a smack from James on the head. Of course James was far older and one of her best friend but she sometimes insults him and runs, "How pathetic" he would scream " you cant even stand your ground woman"
They got back on the road, had breakfast at the diner and zoomed. It was pass 9, they still got time but decided to not branch anywhere till there done with the day.
Customers trooped in some sat to have a warm talk. While Fredella was at the counter a man or so she thought walked in through the glassy door, she felt chills run through her spine as he walked passed "Who the rash was that" she wondered and continued her work.
