The scene opens up showing a glistening and calm ocean then the camera pans up to an island surrounded by mist and fog, passing through the fog we are greeted by two Viking statues that have fires in their mouths with a village in the distance
This is Berk. It's twelve days North of hopelessness, and a few days south of freezing death. It's located solidly on the Meridian of misery
Passing the two statues, waves crash against them as the camera passed through the water shifting to a small grassy field with sheep as the camera pans upwards to reveal more of the decorated village with multiple torches providing light on this seemingly quiet night
My village in a word? Sturdy. And it's been here for seven generations, but every building is new. We have fishing, hunting and a charming view of the sunsets.
The camera lands onto two sheep eating grass until one of the sheep is grabbed by a large claw like foot before being taken away from above, the second sheep ignoring the fact that the first sheep was taken moves to the previous location of the first to eat the grass
The only problem are the pests, you see most places have mice or mosquitoes. But we have ...
The scene changes to show a young skinny boy opening the front door of his house to show a herd of sheep running away from something, a group of people running around with weapons and shields while a dragon appears turning to the boy and fires at the young man, reacting quickly the boy closed the door before the dragon's fire reached him"Dragons" The boy said breathlessly
(Third POV)
More dragons appear, some trying to burn the panicked Vikings while other dragons take sheep, racks of fish or anything that would be considered as food, a few Vikings fight some dragons meanwhile another Viking jumps toward a sheep trying to pry the woolly animal from a dragon's grasp. The young boy leaves his burning house running past many Vikings trying to draw the least amount of attention to himself
Most people would leave but not us, we are Vikings. We have stubbornness issues. My name is Hiccup, I know great name. But not the worst. Parents believe having a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls. Like our Vikings demeanour wouldn't do that.
Hiccup dodges many Vikings as one falls right in front of him, slowing the boy down slightly as he carefully went under a log being carried by two Vikings as another turns to watch Hiccup only to bump into one of the Vikings carrying the log. As Hiccup runs towards his destination a Viking behind him is shot at by a medium sized dragon with bumps all over it, Hiccup falling onto his back sees a Viking roaring in his face with embers burning in the Vikings beard.
"MORNING!" The Viking picked up Hiccup before charging at a dragon with an axe in hand
As Hiccup runs past many Vikings, they tell the young man to stay inside or to hide from the ongoing battle with the dragons. A dragon flies in front of Hiccup spewing it's fire in front of the boy as a tall bulky Viking easily picks up Hiccup by the back of his tunic, saving Hiccup from injuring himself from the dragons fire.
"Hiccup?! What is he doing out aga-? What are you doing out?! Get inside!" The tall Viking pushed Hiccup away from the conflict as the Viking looks on toward the incoming and fleeing dragons
That is Stoick the Vast. Chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby, he popped a dragons head clean off its shoulders. Stoick spots a dragon fleeing with two sheep in its grasp, grabbing a nearby wooden cart the Chieftain throws the cart with ease toward the dragon successfully hitting it, stunning the dragon and allowing the sheep to be dropped by the dragon. Do I believe it? Yes I do
