There's something about love that feels almost magical. It makes the world spin a little bit faster and the stars seem brighter at night. But for Emily, love was just a myth.
Emily was 17 years old and she had never experienced the magic of love. She was always the smart and shy kind of person who didn't fit in with the popular crowd. Even though she was beautiful, with her long strawberry blonde hair and her bright green eyes, love just didn't seem to find its way to her...
Emily was beginning to think that love had forgotten all about her. There was no one to share her dreams with, no one to share her passions with, no one to share her heart with. She was beginning to think that she was going to be alone, forever.
But then, one day, she met someone who made her believe in that magic of love again... A girl who made her heart race and her stomach fill with butterflies.
Her name was Emma. She was the most beautiful girl Emily had ever laid eyes on, with her long dark hair and her soulful brown eyes. And when she looked at Emily, she could see all of her secrets, all of her desires, all of her hopes.
And when she smiled at Emily, Emily's heart started pounding in her chest and she felt butterflies in her stomach. She knew right then and there that she had found her soulmate, the person who would change her life...
Emily was so scared to talk to Emma, but she knew that she had to try. She decided to gather all of her courage and walk up to Emma, who was sitting alone on a bench in the park. She introduced herself and quickly found herself wrapped up in a conversation with Emma that seemed to last forever.
They spent hours talking that day, sharing their lives and their dreams, and before they knew it, the sun was setting and it was time to head home.
As they parted ways, Emily knew that she had met the love of her life...
Over the next few weeks, Emily and Emma spent more and more time together, and their friendship quickly turned into a romance. They went on walks, they went to the movies, they spent time together after school and on the weekends, and their love for each other grew deeper and deeper.
One day, while staring out at the sunset together, Emily decided to confess her feelings to Emma And it turns out that the feelings were completely mutual!
Emma told Emily that she also had feelings for her and that she had been waiting for the right time to tell her. And then, they kissed, and Emily knew that she had found the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
They spent every day together, they shared all their dreams and fears, and they were never apart. They knew that they had found their soulmates and nothing would ever come between them.
One day, as Emily was walking home from school, she noticed something strange. There were police cars and news vans outside of her house. She rushed home to find her parents, her roommates, and her friends, gathered in the living room. They all looked upset.
Emily asked what was wrong, and her parents told her that her girlfriend, Emma, had been in a terrible car accident and Emily's heart broke as her parents said the words she never thought she would hear,
"We're so sorry darling, but Emma has lost her memory, she doesn't remember who you are or who anyone else is..."
Emily was devastated. She couldn't believe that something this terrible had happened to the person she loved more than anything in the world. She couldn't believe that she would never get to hold Emma in her arms and tell her how much she loved her again. But she had to be strong, for Emma...
Emily tried to visit Emma in the hospital as often as she could, but it was so painful to see the love of her life not knowing who she was. She felt like she was losing her again and again every time she walked in the door.
But Emma's recovery was going slowly, and eventually, she started to remember small things. She still didn't remember Emily, but she remembered her family, her friends... and she even remembered what love was.
One day, Emma turned to Emily and said,
"You know, even though I don't remember everything, I do remember someone, something. I remember the feeling of love. And I know, that I must love you."
Emily was stunned. She hadn't been able to move on from the grief of losing Emma, and now, it seemed like the love of her life was finding her again. And as she held Emma close, she knew that their love would survive anything, even loss and grief and sadness, because the true love of your life is always there, deep in your heart.
A few months later, Emma was finally discharged from the hospital. She couldn't remember everything, she couldn't even remember all her family members and friends' faces, but she did remember one thing: she remembered Emily.
As she walked out of the hospital, she saw Emily waiting for her and she ran into her arms. Emily held her close, never wanting to let her go. And as they stood there, holding each other, and as the world seemed to move around them, they knew that their love would endure, for always, forever...
Emily and Emma were happily in love, for the second time. They were grateful for every moment they had together, knowing how precious love is, and they never took each other or that love for granted.
They worked hard to rebuild their relationship, to recreate the magic that they had lost for a while. And as they built their lives together, they built a beautiful family. They had three children, who knew nothing but love.
As they grew older, and their children grew up and had children of their own, Emily and Emma lived a happy life together, surrounded by love, surrounded by family. And through it all, they knew that they would always have each other. Their love had survived even the worst of times, and they knew that no matter what came their way, they had each other and they had the strength to get through it. Because they were soulmates, and soulmates can survive anything as long as they have each other...
(Okay, that's the end, tell me what you think and I hope you liked my short story! I hope to see you in one of my other books soon, byeee!!! Oh And this was 1178 words)
