Chapter 7: SUPERIORITY

[Luna's POV]
I am finally certain;
You are my heart's haven.

It has been a week since Ken told me that he loves me. I was completely surprised, like an unplanned bomb exploding. It didn't become awkward though. He became sweeter and open of his feelings towards me.

It was his rest day today and I was cooking sinigang (sour pork soup) for lunch. He was playing with Kale in the living room.

"Langga!!! (my love)" he suddenly shouted. He started calling me 'Langga' after he confessed his feelings.

I quickly ran towards him and caught Kale shakily walking towards Ken. It was his first baby step. I took my phone and recorded it. Kale slowly reached Ken's arms. Ken tossed him in the air and caught him. Kale was giggling.

"Apaka galing naman ng anak ko! (My son did a good job)" said Ken as he gave Kale kisses.

I was happily giggling. I can't ask for more. I'm contented with what we have. A happy family. I can't help but be thankful for Ken.

Ken glanced at me and hug me while carrying Kale in his left arm. I hugged him back and patted Kale on the head.

"Our baby's growing fast." I uttered, tears flooding my eyes.

Ken kissed me on the forehead, "Thank you, Luna for being a great mom to Kale and also..." he smiled and look me in the eyes, "...for accepting me in your life and agreeing to co-parent Kale."

Tears fell from my eyes, "Ken, you and Kale are the best gifts that God has given me and I have never regretted meeting you."

I saw Ken's eyes welling too. He let go of our embrace and carefully wiped his tears away. He was sniffing softly.

"Ma!" squeaked Kale as he reach and tap my cheek.

We both bursted laughing.

"That's right, Kale. Ma-ma." enunciate Ken slowly.

Can there be a more beautiful day than this one? It will definitely be in my top three of most unforgettable moments.

A month passed and Ken was still trying to get a better job. I can see his struggles and how he was rejected. He didn't give up though.

"Langga," he opened up one night, we were lying on the bed, Kale had just fallen asleep.

I turned to him, "Hmm?"

"I have a job offer as a dance instructor and there's this company too that offered a modeling contract. Should I take it?" he asked.
