Mary Jones POV
As I cut the ribbon I force a big smile. There were many people below the stage cheering and clapping.
Ugh I've never just wanted to go home, lay in my bed and read a book so bad till now.
This is all Hudson's fault. If he hadn't left me and let his family babysit me then I wouldn't be here. Oh when he gets back home I'm going to-
"You did so well sweetheart" I feel my mother in laws hand on my shoulder.
I turn and do another award winning smile, "oh thank you so much. Umm well if that's all then we should get back home"
Quickly I give back the scissors to anyone near me and start waddling my way back to the carriage.
"Mary we still have some things to do around town. We cannot just leave now when the sun hasn't even come down" her brows raise up and I felt like a child being scolded by her mother.
I turn to face her, " Well I'm tired, we just spent four hours running around this village doing God knows what. I mean why would they need the Queen to choose which flowers should be hung around the lights I-I just need a break...can I just get that?" I look at her, basically giving her puppy dog eyes.
She sighs, "I understand. At your age I was also stressed from all the list of things I needed to complete. Come on let's go see what the rest of your new family is doing" she puts her arm around mine and starts leading me inside the carriage.
