(Y/N) stares at the picture of Kira, Nori, and Yeva in slight shock before handing it back to his mother as they sit across from each other at the table. After some silence, the ravager drone is the first to speak, "So, you're telling me that you knew both Uzi and Doll's mothers?" The worker drone simply nods as she puts the photograph back into the album.
Crossing his arms, (Y/N) continues questioning the older machine, "Do the girls know?" Sighing, Kira looks at her son in the eyes, making sure he knows that she's being very serious, "Doll knows, but I can't be sure with Uzi. Ever since Nori died, Khan has been trying to keep these sorts of things hidden from her." She then starts looking longingly at the ceiling before continuing, "We were very close, it was to the point we considered each other sisters, even if I hadn't known them for as long. I don't know what they experienced before all humans eradicated themselves, but what I do know is that I first met them here." Kira proceeds to point at the picture's background as she speaks, "I don't know why they were there at Camp 98.7, but I'm sure that this place might hold some answers, not just to the appearance of my friends, but maybe also your, and your friends' identities."
Leaning back in his chair, (Y/N) looks at the ceiling in thought, taking in all this information as he wonders what to do; soon, Kira breaks his trance as she speaks again, "Whatever you're choice is, I'll support it; I just want you to know that no matter what, I will be going back to Camp 98.7 to see if I can find anything about my friends."
The ravager drone looks down as he continues to stay silent, seemingly saying that he isn't going. Getting out of her chair, Kira sighs and nods before heading towards the vents, picking up her axe along the way. Yet before she can leave, (Y/N)'s voice rings out from behind her, "It's going to take you forever to get there on foot." Looking back, she sees him now standing, his wings slightly outstretched.
======================================
Whilst the duo is about to head out, Uzi and her class arrive at the very same place, the bus's headlights revealing a sign reading CAMP 98.7 E S T. 3002. As the vehicle advances, it repeatedly raises onto its back wheels while sounding its horn, acting like a nervous horse while a worker drone on its roof holding reins tries calming it, "Whoa. Easy." This seems to work as the object quits jolting and stops, prompting its rider to pat its seat, "Good girl."
As the bus opens its doors, the class pours out with as much order as an avalanche, pushing and even stepping over each other; luckily for Uzi, she's last in line, thus she avoids the initial chaos and steps out unimpeded as she holds her backpack tightly. Lagging behind her class, Uzi looks down at Doll's bracelet and a necklace in her right hand, the two objects share the symbol of a white triangle with a skull in the middle, the sight of which reminds her why she's here.
Earlier that day at her apartment, Khan had finally decided to reveal to her some important things about her mom, handing her a picture that had been taken a few minutes after the planet's core had imploded on itself. The photo shows a scene of utter mayhem as Khan takes cover behind some debris, Nori pulls herself out from a pile of snow, and in the background, worker drones are running, looking around frantically, or hiding. As Uzi takes the sight in, her father begins speaking, "After the core collapse, I didn't notice the collars."
Khan then pulls out another photo, showing himself seemingly about to fall over, Nori crouched down with one hand holding him up, Yeva standing completely still and slouched slightly with a traumatized expression, her then-future husband curled up in a ball beside her, and finally, Kira barely poking her head into the frame, seemingly having been the one to take the picture. However, the only thing that catches Uzi's eyes are the collars around Nori and Yeva's necks, the former having 002 printed on it, while the latter has a 048. She's then snapped out of her thoughts as her father continues, "Only your mom, was a catch." The only response this gets from the teen is a confused expression, with her having no idea how to respond.
