Seven years later.......
______________________Gwen sighed as she hit the alarm clock beside her bed, the small machine shattering from her strength as the beeping died down. Gwen's eyes immediately snapped open as she sat up in her bed and began fussing over the alarm clock. This was the seventh time this happened and she doubts duck tape was going to keep it together this time. Her room was a decent size, enough to have a desk in front of the window. The room itself was messy however, bits and bobs of metal parts were laying around along with her casual clothes, laundry was long overdue. Posters of the band 'The Mary Janes' hanged on the blue walls, she was the drummer of the band, or was. She stopped doing that when she saved up for college. But she had a job at the library this morning so she had to get ready.
'Damnit not again....' Gwen sighed when she looked in the mirror and noticed she was still wearing her hero outfit. Being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Woman took a lot out of her, she'd stay out at night patrolling the city as much as she could before retreating to her apartment in the subdivision. She would be so tired she'd fall off the ceiling and onto her bed before passing out. She sighed as she shot a web from her webshooters and yanked on the dresser before leaping over and rummaging through her clothes. After getting the clothes she needed she hopped out of her room and down the hall towards the bathroom, ready to take a shower.
The apartment she resided in was older than her but Gwen Stacy had fond memories in the building. It was originally the Parker residence, but Gwen later purchased it and began living here. It was rather far from her job at the library, but it was alright since she could just swing there. But she'd probably take a bus this morning, Frank was the usual driver and he woke Gwen up whenever she fell asleep. Frank was a good person, she'd need to buy the man a gift basket for all the kind things he's done for her. After she got out of the shower she put her hero suit back on before putting her clothes on over the outfit, concealing it from prying eyes as she wore a small sweater over her collared shirt and some pants over her leggings and heels on her feet, giving the impression she simply wore leggings under her pants too anyone that looked at her feet. She grabbed her webshooters and hide them on her wrists, under the shirt's sleeves. She grabbed some vials of web fluid in case she needed it and tossed it into her satchel before putting a huge jacket on, the piece of clothing reaching her thighs. She quickly ran out of her house and too the bus stop, were the bus rested with uneasy passengers.
"Ah, Ms Stacy. How are you this morning?" Frank smiled as she quickly hopped on, the doors closing behind her. Frank was a nice old man with sideburns and a white goatee, a pair of dark sunglasses on his face.
"Tired." Gwen gave a small smile as she sat down behind Frank. The bus began to move, heading towards the city as the sun slowly began to rise. "Thanks for waiting Frank."
Frank nodded with a chuckle before he looked back at the road ahead of him. Gwen looked around, watching for any nosey eyes before reaching into her satchel and pulling out her notebook and opening it. Inside was every piece of evidence and clues that she could gather and intel she got from the crooks she captured about one man, Kingpin, AKA: Wilson Fisk. He was a huge man that wore a business suit that made many misjudge him for being fat, when he was in fact extremely muscular underneath that suit, even if he had a gut. As his nickname implies, Wilson Fisk is a huge factor in the criminal underworld that inhabited New York. All criminals, big and small, payed Fisk 60% of what they gather. His influence was as if not stronger than Tony Stark's. Fisk had gained his position through blood, sweat and tears. Gwen had fought him before on multiple occasions as Spider-Woman, but could never trap him or even get him arrested without solid evidence. It was hard enough with any corrupt cops in the NYPD.
