The soft sunlight from the morning sky streams through the curtains of Kunwoo's office. It casts a gentle glow upon everything that's hit by it; the couch and chairs, the shelves, the desk. Papers are neatly stacked together, it shows the owner of this office's practice of cleanliness. The room is clean, quiet, peaceful, a perfect room for someone to rest. Only a faint noise from the electric fan could be heard as it faces a certain male, offering coolness to his resting figure against the couch. The clock on the wall ticks away as it reads nine (9) in the morning.
Choi Yejun, the bodyguard of a Korean star, lay himself against the soft mattress of the couch. He held a thick book that he found somewhere in one of the shelves. He thought that it might be interesting so he gave it a try, and he doesn't seem to be disappointed yet with what he's reading.
It is a week off for Jieun so that she could relax, hence the reason Yejun have nothing better to do except for chilling within the company building. He liked the atmosphere in Kunwoo's office so he marked it as his chill room.
The book seems to envelop him as he reads––a mix of fascination and concentration is present in his purple filled eyes. As he was engrossed in the book, he didn't notice nor hear the door opening with a click.
"There you are." Yejun heard a soft voice calling out to him as his attention is now shifted to the person who entered the room,
Lee Jieun stood upon his vision. She could see the confusion in his face as he's laying down on the couch like some sort of royalty.
"Sup." He simply greeted before reverting his eyes back to the book that he held. He's ready to hear whatever she has to say.
"Good morning!" Jieun greeted cheerfully, a warm and contagious smile playing on her lips, though it wasn't so contagious in front of Yejun who kept the nonchalant face.
"G'morning." Greeted back by him in a monotonic manner.
Hearing it back, she felt glad and immediately went to ask him, "You got something to do today?"
"None."
"Wanna come with me?" Now, that took Yejun's attention off the book. Jieun could tell that he was full of questions based from his expression. Questions such as: where?, what will we do?, thought it's your day off?.
To her disbelief, he really started asking those one by one, "Where? Why? Isn't it your day off?"
"I plan to roam around the city, buying stuffs at some stores. Maybe the mall." Jieun let him first know the agenda before going on, "So... what do you say?"
Just as he's about to take his precious time to lay down the whole day, his responsibility suddenly invited him to go shopping together, 'Great...' His thought laced with sarcasm, a sigh escaped from his lips.
He knew that Jieun isn't even forcing him, however, he knew that he will feel guilty and responsible letting her go alone since he's supposed to be her personal bodyguard.
Yejun doesn't really mind being with her and accompanying her wherever she goes. Its just that he held to the thought that he will be spending the day doing nothing but rest which he thinks is good. But, he's not one to complain, isn't he?
"Yeah sure." With his answer, she was glad. Jieun initially thought that Yejun will reject her invitation as he's currently not in duty.
Setting the literature aside, Yejun stretched from the couch and then sat up straight, "Can you wait for me at the lobby?" He asked, all of a sudden.
Before Jieun could ask the reason why, Yejun beat her to it, "I wish to speak with Jong-han first.
