It was quite a well-known fact that none of the boys liked cleaning. Minho and Chan didn't like having a dirty room but that didn't mean they enjoyed cleaning it either. The only one who did like cleaning, and by cleaning it was mostly just picking up toys, was Seungmin.
Jisung and Felix used this to their advantage.
"Hey Minnie, do you want to help us with something? It involves cleaning!" Jisung dangled one of Seungmin's favorite toys in front of his face, hoping to draw the younger kid out. Seungmin followed them upstairs and into their room.
"Do you want to play a game?" Felix motioned to the room. Jeongin walked past and heard them, deciding that he wanted to play a game too.
"Perfect. The more the merrier" Jisung shrugged, letting it happen. They were halfway done when Ju Won passed by the room and stopped.
"What's going on in here?" He walked in, suspicious.
"We're cleaning" Felix answered.
"Cleaning? I thought we were playing a game" Jeongin pouted.
"We are! A cleaning game!" Felix nodded. Ju Won folded his arms, giving the twins an unamused stare. They both knew they were caught and they gave up on trying to trick their brothers. Seungmin and Jeongin realized they had been tricked too and they started to sulk.
"Seungmin, Jeongin, why don't you go downstairs and bother one of the others? I need to talk to the twins alone" Ju Won closed the door behind the two boys and turned back to the twins.
"Sit down and start talking" He pointed to the bed. The two boys sat down, looking nervous.
"You told us to clean our room. So we did" Jisung shrugged, not seeing the problem. It was Seungmin's room too but his side of the room was always clean so that wasn't going to work as an excuse.
"Yes, I told you two to clean your room. Not get your brothers to do it for you by tricking them" Ju Won corrected.
"What's the difference?" Jisung asked innocently, trying to get out of this the best way he could. Felix picked up on what he was doing and played along, giving Ju Won the puppy eyes.
"The difference is do you want to go to bed with a sore bottom?" Ju Won hinted. Jisung dropped the act and put his hands behind him, protecting his butt. Felix backed away, shaking his head.
"Finish cleaning and then go say sorry to your brothers. If I have to come up here again, I will be giving you that spanking. Clear?" He warned. The twins nodded and rushed around to clean the toys off their floor. Ju Won trusted that they would finish and he left. A few minutes after the door closed, Jisung stopped and looked at Felix.
"Do you think he was serious?" Jisung wondered.
"No" Felix shook his head, thinking long and hard about it and finally coming to the (wrong) conclusion.
"Then why should we?" Jisung decided, dropping hte toy that he had been holding. Felix nodded in agreement and they started to play. Until Ju Won came back to see if they had finished and he was not happy.
"Alright then" He stated, rolling his sleeves up and going for the first kid he could catch. Jisung tried to run but Felix only curled up in a ball and loudly sobbed. It didn't work.
"When I say to do something, I expect it to get done" Ju Won scolded, giving Felix a few swats that were really just love pats and set him back down, catching Jisung and doing the same.
"Since I can't trust you to do what your supposed to unsupervised, I am going to send Minho up here to watch you and he will make sure you finish cleaning because if you don't, he'll tell me and then you'll really be in trouble. This is your last warning boys" Ju Won lectured. Jisung pouted at him and nodded, not wanting to be in more trouble. Felix was too busy crying to even answer. Ju Won hugged both of them before leaving and a few minutes later, Minho walked in. He looked angry but his expression softened as soon as he saw his little brothers and he pulled them into a hug.
"Come on, I'll help you but don't tell dad" Minho didn't really do much to help but he was there for motivation and it worked. By the time Ju Won came to get the three boys for lunch, the room was spotless.
"Good job. Go on downstairs" Ju Won let the twins pass but he stopped Minho.
"You didn't help them any, did you? Or do it for them?" He wondered. Minho flashed an innocent, mischievous grin.
"Of course not. I just motivated them to finish" He shook his head. Ju Won wasn't sure how much of that was true but the way that Minho said that made Ju Won question what kind of motivation the second oldest was talking about.
"What kind of motivation?" He asked, suspicious.
"The kind that got them to finish cleaning in less than ten minutes. Happy?" Minho answered, keeping his response vague.
"Fine. Go eat" Ju Won gave in, knowing he wasn't going to get any more than that. Nor did he really want to know no matter how curious he was. Minho ran off, joining his brothers at the table and taking part, with Changbin and Jisung, in teasing Hyunjin about something until Ju Won came down and made them stop.
