“So your name is Joplin?” The therapist asked from behind her Maplewood desk.

“Yeah, my parents adored Janis.” Joplin said in a tone that suggested that therapy was something that she just couldn’t be bothered with.

“And you’re suffering from suicidal ideations?” She asked reading from the chart on her clipboard.

“Yeah I want to kill myself, half the time I fantasize about it.” She confessed while gazing at the doctor. The attempt at eye contact sent a chill down Dr. Lisbon’s spine she was not sure why it bothered her.

“What do you think about the other half of the time?” She questioned.

“Blogging.” Joplin informed her while gazing out of the window.

“Why do you want to kill yourself?” Lisbon asked gently.

“Because he’s perfect.” Joplin replied nonchalantly.

“Who is he?” The doctor followed up with.

“I’d rather not say.” Joplin non-answered.

“Well what do you blog about?” She asked in an attempt to get her newest patient to open up.

            “Him.”
