Ju Won tried not to have favorites but to be honest, he had a favorite. Chan was his favorite. And Seungmin because the kid was so damn snarky but so respectful and didn't take things too far, like Minho sometimes did.
Those two were some of the only ones who didn't get in trouble, besides Jeongin who was so young he probably didn't even know the meaning of the word trouble. Until now.
"Where is Seungmin?" Ju Won had made the mistake of letting Seungmin walk around the store. Usually the four youngest rode in the cart when they had to go shopping but Seungmin had begged Ju Won to let him walk with Hyunjin, Changbin, Chan and Minho and Ju Won said yes. Why wouldn't he? Seungmin never got in trouble.
"He was here a moment ago" Minho shrugged.
"Binnie, you were holding his hand. Did you let go?" Ju Won looked at the six year old.
"He didn't say anything to me. I didn't notice!" Changbin cried.
"Okay, okay. It's okay" Ju Won assured him. Changbin still did not stop crying now that he knew his little brother was missing. The intercoms came on and someone announced that they were looking for the parent of Lee Seungmin.
"See? No problem, let's go. And stay with me" Ju Won led the way to the front of the store. There was Seungmin, looking extremely happy, slurping on a juice box.
"Lee Seungmin!" Ju Won motioned for the other boys to stand to the side while he talked to Seungmin.
"Hi appa" Seungmin waved.
"Don't you 'hi appa' me, little boy! You know better than to walk away from me in the store" Ju Won scolded. Seungmin's face fell, obviously he hadn't realized he was going to be in trouble. Ju Won picked him up, putting the three year old in the cart with Jeongin and the twins.
"Hyunjin, Changbin, hands on the cart. And you two, stay in front where I can see you" Ju Won instructed. Changbin pouted as he put his hand on the cart and Hyunjin looked like he was going to argue then decided not to. Chan took Minho's hand, despite the younger trying to escape. Ju Won tried to get through the rest of the shopping quickly so he could take the boys home. As soon as they were outside and the boys were in their seats, Ju Won kept Seungmin from getting in beside Jeongin.
"You know the rules in the store, Seungmin. What did you do wrong today?" Ju Won asked.
"Walked away from you" Seungmin cried.
"That's right. Three smacks and that's it" Ju Won decided, lifting Seungmin's shirt and laying down three quick pats to the boys bottom before putting him in his seat and doing up the straps on the car seat. Jeongin looked at his brother, feeling Seungmin's sadness and handed Seungmin his puppy doll. Seungmin took it, looking at the doll curiously before pressing a kiss to its nose and hugging it tight. He placed a kiss to Jeongin's head, pouting when the younger wiped it away in disgust. Seungmin did it again and Jeongin didn't wipe it away this time, just smiling and accepting his fate. The two of them ran off and when Ju Won found them a few hours later, they were both asleep with the puppy between them.
