"Faster, come on you don't even try!" Hearing that she shot him a glare while she reached for the cold metal. "I want to see how you'll do next time." she scoffed, panting while he stood there tall and proud looking down at her smiling. It was almost impossible to stay calm at this rate, she, herself wasn't even sure how she was able to stand him in the first place.

She placed her foot on the metal ladder climbing, already missing the heat that the water provided her. She now stood with her hand open waiting for him to give her the towel which he was holding. "Geto I'm freezing give me the towel" she sighed in annoyance. He did what she asked.

"Good job kid!" Her coach smiled at her. "I know you can do better though." She smiled in response. "I told you so..." she could practically see Geto's smile reach his ears. She walked away, not before slapping him on the head.

Geto is a good acquaintance. A friend she might call him but she wouldn't easily admit that. He was annoying at least, but he was one of the people who believed in her while everyone else didn't. She met him 3 years ago when she started swimming again and they instantly clicked. Even though he wasn't the best when it came to his personal life, socialising with delinquents, partying twenty four seven, he took practice seriously. She respected him for that.

Snapping out of her thoughts, she was now holding in one hand the hair dryer and in the other her phone. She looked at the small device to check the time. She also saw 3 unopened messages.

Yuji Itadori

Hey, you're late >:c

Y/nnn!!!!!!

Seriously where are you....

Coming.

"Hey! Sorry I'm late I had practice" her friend smiled "Its okay! So, Nobara said something about a new cafe opening and she wanted to check it out." He looked down on his phone, probably reading the messages of their Ginger haired friend. "Megumi is also coming with us." His gaze traveled up to meet her eyes. "Hm, sounds nice, I'll come." she replied, as she took out a small box out of her pocket, earning a tired sigh from her friend.

"You got to quit that shit you know? You basically pay for cancer..." He pointed at the long stick hanging between her lips. "Guilty pleasure." She smirked and lighted her cigarette.

The cafe that Yuji was talking about wasn't that far away after all, about three blocks away they arrived at their destination. She immediately took notice of her other two friends that were now sitting on an outdoor table chatting. She took Yuji's hand and dragged him towards them, her excitement evident, due to the lack of their presence. She hadn't seen any of them about a week or more, except Nobara of course who shared the same dorm with her. Blame the exam week for that.

The new coffee shop was beautifully decorated with flowers on the outside. Small square wooden tables and chairs even small sofas with cushions were placed outdoors too along with the flowers making a cozy space for the customers. A neon pink sign was placed outside with big letters contrasting the dull gray wall behind it. On the interior, a beige colour covered the walls and all the small cute tables had a candle on them. Cute shop.

"Y/n! You are alive after all! I thought you wouldn't come again..." Nobara stood in order to greet her friend, almost falling in doing so but she played it off, and hugged her friend that she really missed. "Mentally I am not..." she commented quietly, talking more to herself than to her friend. Megumi chuckled. "Long time no see." The boy said.

"Yeah I know, I missed you too. So what did I miss guys?" She took a seat next to Nobara while Yuji and Megumi sat across them. "Well, only Megumi getting hit on by a random girl near the station!" The girl exclaimed, as she tried to hold her laugh. "What. How could I miss this... Don't tell me they used formation B, Megumi?" She also teased the poor boy. He in return gave them a pout and a scoff turning his head to look at the opposite direction. They all laughed at his action.

"What about you how's practice?" Yuji chipped in. "It's fine. Geto is really helpful but still annoying as hell though. Oh, by the way I saw your brother Sukuna the other day. Wasn't he supposed to be in recovery?"

"Like you said, supposed to." He sighed.

Yuji's twin brother, was known for his violent behaviour, and it wasn't a rare occurrence for him to end up in sort of different fights. He was the complete opposite of Yuji, who was a diplomat, always trying to find his right with words and not violent acts.

She took out her usual box with those white sticks and her cute purple lighter, leaving them on the table next to her cold drink that the waitress had brought them a while ago. She opened the package and took a cigarette out lightning it and carried on with their conversation.

"What are you doing Y/n? Smoking is bad for you... Especially when you combine it with swimming." Turning around she came across with a jet black haired boy. "Don't talk like you ain't smoking weed every weekend Geto. You don't have the right to talk about smoking." She smirked looking up at him, while taking a drag from her cigarette. Legs open manspreading, baggy jeans hanging loosely on her body, matching the vibe with the cockiness that her tone already had.

His friends snickered at her observation.

"Anyways," he rubbed the neck "I came to say hi and ask if you had seen mahito. I have been calling him all day but he's not answering." he smiled, a vein popping on his forehead. Mahito was one of the most annoying people that the girl had came across. She found him too loud and too quirky? She didn't really knew why she disliked him, but her friends shared the same opinion.

"No we haven't" Nobara answered.

"Oh well, it's okay. Have fun!" He waved his hand and left.

After a while the group payed and left, marking the new coffee shop their new usual hang out spot.

"Guys please save me... I started my project and guess who my partner is..." Nobara put her hands on her face. They all looked at her with a questionable expression. "Mahito!" The other girl laughed at her words. "No way man!" Yuji exclaimed looking at the ginger with compassion. "Who do you have Y/n? I was lucky to be paired up with Megumi!" He wrapped an arm around his friend's shoulder with a smile on his face, in contrast to his friend who looked like he wanted nothing to do with him.

"I... Don't know..?" She inquired "I haven't stepped a foot into that class for a week. I had so much tests going on so I skipped a lot of periods to read."

"I pity the person who got paired up with you... This year's project is not as easy as it was." Nobara sighed. "Then they are lucky to be my partner." I smirked.
