Evan's POV:

I look around the mall, looking for my mother. We got here around an hour ago and I know she was waiting for father to finish whatever he was doing, all I know was mother told me to wait here and she would go get him. I don't really know what to do other than to look around and wait for my mother. My mother is a wonderful woman, she has long black and slick hair that goes to the center of her back, with brown eyes that shine like diamonds and her outfit was a long black dress. My father has blonde hair and green eyes, he normally is in a suit and tie like he is trying to go to a business meeting or something.

I look around the area that I'm waiting in, the mall seems very big and the signs are unreadable, since it's not in my language. We are in some place in Japan that my mother said we were going to travel to so we could go to fathers business meeting. Fathers meetings make us travel around a lot and this is a new place we haven't been to yet, I picked up on some different languages from traveling and mother told me to try and learn some of the 'Japanese' that this place we are at speaks. I like to read often so I can learn different things and languages to travel.

As I look around I take in the details, a plant here and there and many different entrances to different places in the mall. One looks like it's a clothes shop while another looks like those thrift stores mother always brings me to, so I can get clothes. Mother says that 'I don't quite deserve new clothes and stuff since I'm a child and since I like to get into trouble because that's what children do.'. I barley ever get into trouble because mother and father are very strict about that and tend to make me sleep outside when I get in trouble or hit me really hard with the whip if I do, so I tend to stay straight, good, and perfect for my parents. The shop looks interesting and so do the people here. From what I could take while a green haired boy was talking to a blonde-y haired boy, something called 'quirks' is used a lot around here. I don't quite understand what a quirk is but i have seen it mentioned in a book before, but only mentioned.

I look around and still don't see my father or mother, I wonder where they could be and if they are going to be back soon. Sometimes mother and father forget me places and come back a couple of days later to pick me up, this happens often so whenever we go on trips like this I tend to eat a whole bunch so I don't starve like I have before. Mother and father are quite rich so it's easy for them to travel often and easy for mother to get things she calls 'essentials' , when really it's something like a third pair of heels or a large plushie thing that she said was important.

It feels like it's been forever, so I look at my watch that I think is stolen from someone that my father gave me, the time reads 3 pm, so it's been over thirty minutes that my mother has been gone. I believe they left me again, which is fine to me since it happens often and they always come back to me. Mother told me to never tell anyone anything they do to me, like the hitting or forgetting to feed stuff, which I've grown used to. I simply agreed with her because there isn't a reason to argue. I lay flat on the bench near me and slowly drift off to sleep, since I haven't been allowed to sleep for a few days.

7 Hours Later...

I slowly start to wake up with a start as my nightmare of that day ends, I breathe a large sigh of relief and look at my watch... 10:22 pm, the mall closes at 10:30 pm, at least I think since my mother told me that. So I get up and walk slowly to the exit of the mall and look as people also start leaving or shopping more, it's way less packed with people than it was before I fell asleep, no one is pushing me out of the way to get places like they were before. I get to the exit and push the doors open slowly, my arms hurting from the pressure. I hate the fact that I'm not strong, it's dumb. I can heal quickly when things happen like my father bashes my lip open or mother breaks my arm, but I can barely open a door? This isn't fair at all.
