Vikram hesitated as he asked his sister-in-law, “Did Aadrika call you?”

Sushma replied with a casual indifference, “No.”

A heavy sigh escaped Vikram, a reminder of the weight he carried as an unfortunate father. The loss of his beloved wife, Sakshi, haunted him, filling his days with regret.

Pressured to marry Nandini for Aadrika's sake, he realized the truth was far from what everyone had hoped. Aadrika was supposed to receive a mother’s love, but the reality was starkly different.

He left the room, leaving Nandini and Raisha behind.

“This place feels so much better without that little bitch.” Nandini muttered as she dialed a number.

Raisha, in a soft voice, replied, “This home feels empty without her.” before retreating to her room.

Nandini rolled her eyes at her daughter’s words, then stood up and locked herself in her room.

“Her reception is in two weeks.” Nandini said, her tone dripping with disdain.

“We have to be patient; her marriage to Abhimaan Malhotra didn’t bring us any benefits rather that man is hell bent on destroying me.” The voice on the other end responded, prompting Nandini to groan in frustration.

“I knew this would happen.” She replied, her irritation palpable.

“Nandini, Don’t call me until I reach out.” The other person warned before hanging up. Nandini sank onto her bed, frustration washing over her.
