Chapter Six

When Serena woke up it was four in the afternoon, she blushed when she realized that she fell asleep on Arthur and instantly moved away from him.

"I...I'm sorry about that Arthur." She said nervously

He chuckled a bit and smiled. "Its quiet alright, I'd rather you be peaceful than not."

She nodded her head and she looked at the time and hit her forehead. "Do you know if anyone got Anya?"

"Yes, your elder sister Maria did."

She sighed and smiled a little. "Okay...I'm going to talk to my mom for a bit."

"Alright love."

She went to her mother's room and knocked on the door, she soon got an answer and she went into the room. She then was hugged tightly by her mother and was given a small card, she looked at her mother confused. "I'm having Arthur take you out for a bit today, he knows that you are to come home at ten tonight, but this is for you it has $100,000 on it. Do with it what you will, I have been meaning to reward you for all of the things that you've done and I believe now is as good as a time as any."

She smiled and hugged her mother thanking her before she went to her room to get her boots on. "Arthur, tell me...Do you know how to get to the closest mall here?"She asked curiously

"Your mother gave me directions on where to go Serena."

"Alright then...Wait is your drivers license even legal here?"

"We'll just have to find out now won't we?"

She smiled and nodded her head as she got her jacket on after placing her boots on. She left her room before Arthur did, she then stopped at the top of the steps and looked to Arthur.

"Can you please hold on to this for me? I have no secure place for it."

"Of course." He said taking his wallet out and placing the card in it.

"Thank you." She said before going down the steps.

Arthur soon followed and they saw that all but two of her siblings were in the living room. She didn't say anything to any of them but she said goodbye to Linda before heading out with her coat on. Once she was by the car Arthur unlocked it and opened the passenger side door for her before helping her in before he closed the door for her. He then went into the drivers side and got in fastening the seat belt before he placed the key in the ignition and placed the car into drive. He then drove off with the instructions, as they did Serena looked to him curiously.

"Do you mind if I place music on Arthur?"

"No, go ahead."

She nodded her head and she placed on ACDC which made him raise an eyebrow at her as they got to a stop light.

"You listen to older music Serena?" He asked curiously

She nodded her head. "I'd rather listen to older music than the music that's around today."

"Really why is that?"

"Music today is mainly trash, either its about someone having too many hormone problems, break ups or falling in love with someone. No one nowadays gets how the music the perform now got to be so popular from the people before them." Serena said with a slight smile

He looked to her shocked "You're the first young person I've run into that even thinks remotely well."

She grinned and shrugged. "I'm not like most idiots in the world Arthur, I don't let myself be consumed by the idiocy of the media."

He smiled a little at her before he drove again as it was a green light. Once at the mall she took her coat off and just went out of the car in her jacket which worried him.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay in just your jacket Serena?" He asked worried

"Yeah, I'll be alright." She said before she smiled at him.

They went into the mall and she talked with him smiling until they got to hot-topic. She looked to him sadly.

"Hey Arthur...Do you think I can ask you something without you being a total an utter smart-ass?" She asked curiously

He bit his tongue slightly but smiled. "Yeah, sure Sarina, what is it?" He asked

"If by chance I can get you back to your time-line...Do you think that by chance that I could possibly find a way there too?"

He looked at her confused. "Why would you want to do that?"

"I don't like my life here...I don't want to deal with the nonsense that I've been dealing with for the last ten or so years go continue on anymore. I...I really want things to change for me. But I honestly don't know how to make that change. So I figured if I change my surroundings I could change my fate as well. I don't want to be a abused punching bag for my family anymore." Serena said sadly

"What about those whom do care for you, wouldn't you miss them?" Arthur asked

Serena shook her head. "No, not really. No on truly 'cares' for me...it's all an act. I...I don't want people thinking they should pity me because of how I am. I know that I am emotionally and mentally messed up-nothing can keep me from being how I am...but that doesn't mean that they have to treat me like I'm a child...I...I don't think anyone in my life genuinely cares about me Arthur. Not my parents, not my elder siblings-and certainly not any of my younger siblings."

"What about me Serena, surely you don't think that I'm acting this way out of pity."

She sighed out as she messed with her hands. "Honestly...I don't know about you. You're a strange individual Arthur. I...I don't know what to think about you. To be rather blunt with you.." She said before she looked up at him. "The only thing that I could think of about you is that you're being nice to me so I can send you home."

Arthur stiffened as he heard her speak. "Y-You really believe so?"

She nodded her head but then shrugged. "But that's only my opinion-whether it's true or not is beside the point." She said before she went into hot topic.
