Chapter Fifteen

She looked out of the window only to feel nervous. She hid it as they got closer to the parking lot. She said nothing as they got to the amusement park. She hadn't been to one since she was ten years old, and she had a very bad memory of it as well. She didn't want that memory to come back to haunt her which was why she refused to go outside unless she had to. She stayed quiet the entire time she was with Arthur answering him only when he asked her something. Arthur realized that she was acting slightly off but didn't know how to ask her about it without offending her about it. So he left it be until they got to the her father's house.

"Serena, do you mind me asking you something?" He asked as they were sitting on the couch that was in the small living room off of the kitchen which was the first room that they came into.

She looked to him curiously. "Hm?"

"When we were out earlier you didn't seem like your self earlier." He said concerned

"Oh...Well that's because I've had a bad memory of the amusement park that you took me to today. When I was ten years old I went on the bumper cars with my entire family. I had to sit next to my elder brother, little did I know that he and my elder siblings were all planning to kill me there. I ended up in the hospital with a concussion and my left side was almost completely paralyzed. I was in the hospital for almost two months which made me have to stay behind due to not having enough grades to pass the grade I was in. Ever since then I've been slightly scared of my siblings."

"They didn't feel sorry for you?" Arthur asked curiously

She shook her head sadly. "No, They hated me even then. Actually it was exactly a week after my mother had told me that I wasn't supposed to be a live that we went to the amusement park. I didn't want to go in the first place, I wanted to read the book series I had just gotten but my mother said that I needed to get outside so I did just to make her happy."

He hugged her tightly and she buried her face within his chest as she hugged him back.

"Today wasn't that bad was it?" He asked softly

"N-No...I did have some fun while being out." She said as she closed her eyes.

She then felt herself being placed on his lap. She held on to him tightly as she smiled a little. "Arthur...Thank you for being here." She said softly to him.

He looked to her some-what shocked. "Love?"

She looked up to him with a small smile. "Without you here I wouldn't be able to know what my siblings do what they do for. Thank you for doing this...I miss the times that I could be around my siblings and actually enjoy being around them."

"Soon you'll be able to do so, I promise. We'll just have to take care of things like this one day at a time love that's all."

"Mhm...Of course Arthur." She said before she kissed him softly on the cheek. "I'm tired so I'm going to head in."

"Do you have classes tomorrow?" He asked curiously

"Yeah, but I'll be back here at noon. They aren't that long."

"Alright love. Sleep well."

"Mhm, I'll try to." She said before she hugged him and went to the room they shared, she placed her pajamas on before she snuggled into her bed and fell asleep instantly.

After her afternoon classes Serena and Arthur met up with her siblings at a near by park. Her younger siblings instantly went up to her and hugged her tightly crying. She was a bit shocked to see them all hug her crying, but she hugged them back. Even though hugging Alice was more than weird. Alice wouldn't let go of her, she just held on to her and even after Serena asked her to let go she still refused to let her go.

"Alice...The hell?" Serena asked confused

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry about everything. I didn't know how bad things got until you almost died! I didn't want that to happen! Please tell me you'll forgive me! I need my big sister! I need you to be around to tell me who's safe to be around and who isn't! Please Rena!" Alice said as she cried

Serena looked to Arthur confused as he shrugged and smiled at her. "What do you say love, do you think you can work with your sister to get over the troubles you two have had?"
