The warmth of a blanket kept Hawks in a deep sleep, he only woke up hours after his body finally got enough rest. The blonde opened his eyes only to be greeted by basically nothing, the hospital room was blank and ugly.

Where is he? Hawks worriedly sat up and rubbed the sleep off his eyes. Once he was fully awake he pressed the button on his left to call for a nurse and not even a minute later a small woman peeked her head through the door. "You're finally awake sir, do you need anything?" she stepped inside and grabbed the clipboard off a shelf.

With a polite smile she checked his vitals, waiting for an answer. "Yeah, please call for Endeavor or All might. I have a few questions."

He leaned back and ruffled his still torn up wings around. Remembering the days he had been sure to never fly again. Unknowingly he started reminiscing about it, not even realizing how the nurse hurriedly left. Back then, he hated Dabi with a burning passion. All he saw was a bully and monster. Hell, even when they started fucking he didn't like him that way. So how did it happen?

Was it because they build a connection, due to their hate for each other? Was it empathy?

Or the most unromantic possibility, because they fucked a few times?

Well, I wouldn't have it any other way.

He turned his head towards the window and waited. It was obvious Dabi still wasn't out of danger, his health could decline anytime and Hawks had to use every moment he got before they got separated. This love truly isn't supposed to be, but he would still fight for it.

First, he had to find out where he is. The former number one hero rushing into his room would definetly give him all the answers he needed.

"Hey Toshinori, let me get straight to the point. Where-" "Where is Dabi, I guessed it already. But sadly, he can't take visitors right now." All might closed the door behind him and slowly approached Hawks bed. He himself hadn't gotten out of the battle uninjured. The former heros physical state took a turn for the worse, yet he didn't let it show.

He taller man just dropped himself onto a chair and got comfortable saying "He seems to be sleeping like a rock, doesn't even react to pain."

He must be very tired, all of his body basically healed in one go. I'm just glad he's still here...

Hawks stretched his arms and stared at the other blonde. "Did everything else work out, anybody hurt? And-" before the bird hero could say anything, a picture shot trough his mind. His mom, she must be worried sick. Oh god, I have to make sure she's okay! But first I gotta do something else.

Of course All might noticed Hawks perplexed expression. He nosily leans forward. "What are you thinking?"

"Doesn't hurt telling you, eh. I was thinking about my mom, she made me promise to get back alive." he awkwardly tries to swing his legs off the bed and quickly realized what was wrong. What the hell happened to my leg? He tried to move it but the pain made him scrunch his face. All might dissaprovingly lifts a finger and says "Don't you remember a thing? You broke a leg and it's still healing. Let it rest."

A loud annoyed groan slips Hawks mouth, how did he manage to break a leg when he's in the air 90% of the time? "You also cracked a cheekbone and busted your eardrums like the rest of anyone who was near the explosion. A few burns here and there but nothing out of the ordinary." All might lost his serious expression when suddenly his phone rings with his usual empowering ringtone.

He himself called it empowering only, anyone else found it embarrassing."Man, you still didn't change it? Why not use a popular hero song instead Minimight?" "A moment please, let me take this."

All might answered his phone call as usual. "Ah, you're calling right at the best time. He just woke up.", with that the tall blonde put the phone on speaker and held it towards the wing hero.

The familiar voice of Mirko rang in his ears and he never had felt so happy to know she was well. "Hawksie, I heard about what happened. But nonetheless, are you okey?" she on the other side was laying in her own hospital bed, for hours she waited for him to wake up. "Meh, just a broken leg. Just glad to hear your voice, you didn't break anything too did you?" Hawks laughed rather jokingly.

As much as I want to talk with her, I need to keep it short and question Toshinori about Dabis whereabouts!

Mirko exhales deeply, "I just lost a leg, nothing too serious."

"You what!? God, I'm so sorry. How are you coping with it?" only for a moment the thoughts of Dabi vanished and were replaced with worry. This is basically the end of her career, or not?

"Right now I'm just staring trough my room but I'm not particularly sad about it, all I can say is I beat their asses and I'm proud." Hawks and All might could hear the smile though the phone and the atmosphere shifted to something more comfortable.

Hawks carefully sat up and moved his leg, he was sick of laying around. "Sounds like you, Rumi. I'm not surprised at all, are you Minimight?" he shifts his gaze to the former hero, so replies with a grin.

"Most certainly not, it was obvious you'd manage the other group. But don't say you didn't get help from UA's first years!" Ah, so the kids were on her group too?

Hawks rubbed his face and signaled All might to end the conversation. Luckily he understood and politely mumbles "However, thank you for calling. We will definitely visit you soon, sadly we have some things to discuss." and with that they said their goodbyes.

"Look, i know you want to know more about Dabi. But I can't let you leave this room, you're under arrest until you recover and a court decides what they'll do with you." Toshinori broke the news finally. Hawks was at a loss of words and these few words hit him bad. Wait, why am i suprised? I knew what I was getting myself into.

He scoffed and dropped his head into his hands. That's what he gets for betraying the hero government and sleeping with the enemy.

"It can't be that bad, I never slipped up any information so what would they do?" he sat up forcing a smile onto his face. Yet All might shook his head.

"You're being charged with treason. Under no circumstances are you allowed to leave this room or contact Touya."

Wow, it's definitely worse than I thought.
