Alaric's POV

The girls stood before me, Fiorella's eyes gleaming with excitement, and Alora... Alora, with her playful smile and sparkling eyes, stood before me, completely unaware of the love I had carried for her all these years.

As I watched her explore Eternals, I couldn't help but feel a mix of hope and sadness deep inside. I was betraying her after promising her I wouldn't hide things from her anymore. I could have kept on treating her as if she didn't matter, loving her from a distance, silently witnessing her laughter and happiness. But there was a part of me that was selfish and wanted to keep her for myself, to be with her. I didn't want to just watch her laugh; I wanted to be the reason for her laughter.

Shrugging off these thoughts, I scratched my head, pondering our next move. "So, ladies, where shall we venture next? Back to the dorms or explore another part of Eternals?" I asked, turning to Alora. "Alora, where do you want to go?"

Fiorella's voice brimmed with enthusiasm as she suggested, "Let's go somewhere new! Discover another hidden gem in this mystical realm."

Alora, always the wild spirit, chimed in, "Why not spook ourselves a bit and head to Blath?"I chuckled, shaking my head gently. Blath... A tempting and treacherous place indeed, but not quite suitable for this particular moment.

"I appreciate your adventurous spirit, Alora, but Blath might not be the best choice. Instead, I suggest we journey to the Crystal Caverns."

"Crystal Caverns? Is that where we'll find a bunch of enchanted crystals, or is it secretly the hideout of a crystal-loving cult?" Alora couldn't resist making a joke, a playful smirk on her lips as she quipped.

Fiorella added, "Maybe we'll stumble upon a crystal guardian who reigns over their precious gemstones, demanding offerings of glittering trinkets in exchange for passage." They both burst into laughter, and I couldn't help but smile.

"But seriously, what even is that place?" Alora asked.

"Deep underground lies a vast network of glowing crystal caves, said to be formed by the tears of forbidden lovers from a royal family in these lands. Well, their love remained hidden, but their tears infused the crystals with a strange and ever-changing magic."

As I weaved the tale of the Crystal Caverns, the girls shared a knowing smile, their anticipation reignited.

Alora made another joke, her eyes dancing with playful mischief, "So, are there any heartbroken ghost lovers still wandering those caves, searching for their lost love?"

Fiorella smacked her playfully, and Alora wiped the imaginary tears off her eyes, saying, "Oh, how sad it was. It must have been incredibly difficult for them."

I looked at their smiling faces, a surge of warmth filling my chest. But as the excitement settled, I couldn't help but recall the absence of Eric.

"Well," I suggested, brushing off the lighthearted moment, "maybe we should wait for Eric." Agreed on the plan, we made our way to the dorms. Time ticked by as we waited, and idle conversation filled the air.

Glancing at Fiorella, a surge of curiosity and concern engulfed me. I couldn't help but ask, "So, Fiorella, is there something brewing between you and Eric? There seems to be a certain spark between you two," I said, attempting to coax the truth out.

"No, no, Alaric. We're just good friends, really." Hmm...Maybe from her side it was a no.

Deep down, I suspected there was more to their connection. Eric had that look in his eyes whenever Fiorella was around. I knew he harbored feelings for her, but I kept my thoughts to myself, not wanting to intrude on their budding potential romance.

Fiorella, however, couldn't resist a playful twist, turning the tables on me. With a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, she asked, "Well, what's going on between you and Alora, hmm? Any hidden secrets to share?"

Caught off guard, my heartbeat quickened at the mention of Alora's name. It wasn't as if I hadn't heard it before, but Fiorella asking about our relationship made me consider telling Alora how I truly felt. Yet, once again, I kept those thoughts to myself.

"Well, well, that's a question for another time, Fiorella," I teased, a playful grin spreading across my face.
