A comforting soul

Chapter 1

Author here! I just wanted to say that this is my first fan-fiction basing around spirit, so I might have moments when it doesn't sound like something he would do. Just tell me if you really like spirit and you think he wouldn't do that. Ps, most people watch the anime so I will base off the anime, but if I wanted to I could base off the manga because I watched/read them.
Spirit's P.O.V. (P.O.V. means point of view)
"I am back baby!" Lord death said happily. "So what has happened?" He asked. "We know nothing, maka and soul, BlackStar and tsubaki and kid and the sisters and in Asura's barrier. Kid is defending your honour and probably the reason you have a knew crack in your mask" stein said. "Where is this new crack?" Lord death questioned. "Across your left eye to the side diagonally down" I tell my Meister. "Oh that great! I am so proud of my kiddo! Is it still creaking or did it stop?" Lord death say. "It stopped" I tell him. "Well at least he can do it" he says. "Do what lord death?" Azusa asks. "Connect his Sonzu lines, if it was still cracking I would be gone soon enough, meaning they are permanently on, but it stopped cracking meaning it was used for one attack and it went away" lord death explains. "So you would die?!" I panicked. "Calm down spirit, it's okay, you won't be loosing your Meister anytime soon" he comforts me. We all get blown back by a huge wind. My Meister automatically stood up and started floating down to where Asura's soul was. "Kiddo! Are you okay!!!!!" Lord death yells. "Yes father" he responds calmly. I couldn't imagine having him as a father. I go into weapon form as well my co workers and stein carries us all down there with him jumping with his Meister strength. We land and we all transform into human form. I hold my arms open for maka but she runs straight past me and hugs MARIE! I drop my arms and I fall to my knees. My heart hurts, I never knew my daughter could break my heart like her mama could. I feel strong pair of arms lift me up to my feet. I turn around and it's stein. He pulls me into a hug. "It okay, she will one day understand all you do for her" he says. I start to cry in his warm embrace. He makes me feel loved like no one has ever made me fell. "I am gonna bring spirit home" stein says.
Regular pov
Everyone sees spirit crying in stein's arms and stein glares at maka. Maka sees stein's death glare and so does lord death but he just sees it as stein protecting his old weapon. "Come on Marie, let's go home" stein spits like it's venom. "Weapon for you two" stein said. They transform. "I can give you guys a ride to where death city was" lord death said. "Know it's fine, just try and figure out how to get death city back to where it was." Stein says. They all look shocked. He hold spirit in one hand and Marie in the other. "Umm stein, how are you gonna match both me and spirit's wavelength?" Marie asked. "I don't need to match his, he will match mine, he is the top death scythe for more than just being the first one created" stein said. Stink changes his wavelength to Marie's. "You okay spirit?" Stein asked as spirit doesn't get lighter with matching wavelength. "Yeah, just give me a second" spirit chokes our from crying. Spirit becomes lighter. Stein starts to run with top speed and the people at the battle scene are in shock. Stein wants to run so many miles."should someone stop him?" Kid asked. "No, stein is in a bad mood, he will threaten to dissect and will follow through. He got in a lot of trouble when he attended for dissecting his teachers and classmate. I don't really understand how I will get death city back to the Nevada area" lord death said. "I guess I need to use brew, but it hurts" lord death groans. "I could use brew father" kid suggested. "No, I don't want you got get hurt, and I fear you might end up making the world symmetrical" lord death says.
Cut back to stein
stein and the others get to his patchwork house and stein brings out the key and opens it and sits down on the couch with spirit. "Marie can you make some tea?" Stein says calmly. "Of corse stein" Marie says happily but she is angry spirit had all stein's attention. "Can you being it to my room Marie?" Stein asked. "Sure" she says sweetly. Stein brings spirit to his room. "How about you sleep in my bed" autism says. "But where are you gonna sleep?" Spirit asked. "Probably on the couch, it's comfier than it looks" stein chuckles. "What ever you say" spirit laughs. Stein tickles spirits one ticklish spot, his stomach. "Stop it stein!" Spirit laughs. "But it's better when you laugh" stein says. "Stop it stein" spirit sitters as he laughs. Stein pins him on the bed so he is on top of him, "than don't let maka get in your head, or I will tickle you" stein says as he gets off spirit. Marie comes in and puts the tea on the side table. "I am gonna go to sleep." Marie said. "Okay, Marie. Me and spirit might stay up a little longer than usual" stein said. "What will you guys gonna be doing?" Marie questioned. "Just shoeing him what I have changed since he stayed here when we attended." Stein answered. "Okay" Marie said. She left and went to sleep. "Can I show you my new lab?" Stein questioned. "Yeah sure" spirit said. They walked down to the lab and they worked in. "You like?" Stein said as he showed his lab. "Umm, stein?" Spirit said as he gestured to a opened rat on a table. "Oh,sorry. I should have covered that up" stein said as he grabbed a blood stained blanket and covered the dead rat. "Stein can we leave before I become nauseous" spirit said. "So your not nauseous now?" Stein asked becoming intrigued. "No, but I will be if I see one more animal I will puke" spirit said looking around. "well don't look around" stein fumed as he lead spirit out of his lab. "Why don't you fell sick after seeing one animal cut open?" Stein questioned. "Well I woke up with new scars for years, but I knew it was curiosity. I could have stopped you after I saw the first scar, but I knew it would stop at one point, and if it didn't, I knew you wouldn't hurt me" spirit explained. "How could you stop me?" Stein teased. "I would do the same to you" spirit said as he started sipping his tea. "Spirit, can I try something?" Stein questioned. "Sure stein" spirit Said. Stein leaned in and pressed his lips against his weapon. Spirit put his hands on stein's shoulders and kissed back with passion. They kissed for what seemed like eternity until the need for air became too great. They spit and looked at each other in the eye as they caught their breath. "Stein, I didn't know you were such a good kisser" spirit said. "Thanks" stein said as blushed. spirit kissed each of stein's cheeks. "You are a adorable" spirit said. stein checked the time and it was already midnight. "Wow, we sure know how to waste time. It's midnight" stein said. "Really? Can you sleep in the bed with me?" Spirit asked. "Sure" stein said. They walked up stairs and they stripped down to their boxers and get into the bed. Stein laid on his back and spirit cuddled up to him. The mirror rang. Stein quickly put on a lab coat and answered. "Hello stein, we got death city back to the area, you and spirit are expected to come to work" lord death said. "Okay lord death, is that all?" Stein asked. "No, I wanted to ask why your were in a bad mood earlier" lord death asked. "I was just a little mad at maka for how she treats spirit. That's all" stein said as he looked back ad spirit sleeping peacefully in his bed. "You seem a bit defensive over spirit, is there a reason?" Lord death asks. "No, I just thought it was rude how she ran around him and hugged Marie after how much worry he was in" stein said. "Oh, okay" lord death said. "That was all. See you tomorrow" lord death said. The mirror turned off and stein went to sleep.
Next day
Stein got up and got changed and started making a breakfast of eggs and bacon. "That's smell good" spirit said practically drooling. "Do you ever have homemade food?" Stein asked. "On, it's all take out. I don't live with anyone and don't really knows how to cook. All I keno is toast and some soups." Spirit said. Marie came down and made a coffee and left the house. "She has breakfast with Azusa usually." Stein explained. "Oh, she seems a little mad" spirit said as he kissed stein's lips. "Yeah, we need to get or work" stein said. "Okay" spirit pouted. They got in his car and drove and spirit looked out the window to see maka laughing with her friends. "You don't understand how happy it makes me to see maka being social and having friends" spirit says. "I think I can relate" stein says as he thinks about spirit and there past. They get to the school and he parks. Spirit turns into weapon form and goes into weapon form. Stein starts to run up the Stairs with ease. "What do you usually do?" Stein asked. "I usually see if any other Meister's are around or I fly up there or I call lord death and tell him I am lazy and he comes and carries me up" spirit says. "Lord death listens to you? I though he would be a Meisters that is dominant like us" stein said. "No, we listen to each other, if he gets in a stupid fight I support him, and if I am lazy, he helps me" spirit says. Stein reaches the last step and opens his palm and spirit transform back into his human form. "Well I need to go to the death room and just be in there for the day" spirit says. "I will be in my class room" stein says.
I am gonna follow spirit
Spirit walks down the halls and waits outside of the death room for kid to finish talking to his father. Kid soon walked out with a smirk on his face as he made eye contact with spirit. "Good luck, he is in a really good mood" kid said. Spirit walked in to see lord death with a huge smile on his mask. "Why are you so happy?" Spirit questioned. "Well, I didn't have to carry you up the stairs, and I figured why stein is so cranky!" Lord death says. "I am not that heavy! We have completely matching wavelengths" spirit fumed. "Weird you didn't talk about stein" lord death teased. "What? What does that have to do with anything?" Spirit said. "Oooo! Your angry~"lord death said. "Lord death" spirit pouted. "Then tell me the truth on what your relationship is with stein" lord death says playfully. "Fine me and stein are dating, but why does this affect you?" Spirit says. "It doesn't, but I still want to be a nice Meister that takes interest in his weapons life" lord death says. A knock on the death room doors is heard. "Come in Sid" lord death calls. "How did you know it was him?" Spirit asked as Sid walks in. "I used my soul perception, when will you ever remember that I have that" lord death asked. They look at Sid. "Can I talk to lord death privately?" Sid asked. "Sorry Sid, but death scythe has to be here, he is my weapon and a protection protocol" lord death says. "I am gonna go to a far wall so I won't hear you if that makes you feel better" spirit says as he walks to a far corner. Sid and lord death talk and he leaves and spirit walks back. "What was that about?" Spirit asked. "Sow,thing about storm threatening maka about dissection and he had to split up stein from maka" lord death says. "What? Stein got in a fight with maka!" Spirit panicked. "Yeah, do you wanted to go and check that out, because Azusa is gonna come in and she can be in here" lord death says. Just as he says that Azusa walks in. "Azusa stay with lord death, I need to find out why stein tried to fight my daughter" spirit Said as he rushed out. He rushed into stein's class to find he wasn't in there and Sid was in there. "Where's stein and maka?" Spirit panicked. "Infirmary getting check out by naigus" Sid Said. Spirit walked into the halls to be greeted by maka and stein walking together. "Why were you two fighting?" Spirit asked. Stein reached around spirit and closed the class door. "He said I didn't love you" maka said. "Well you never show it! what's the point of saying you love someone if you say you hate them around other people!" Stein yelled. "Stein calm down" spirit said. "Why do you care so much!" Maka yelled back. "Because I love him!" Stein yelled but automatically became silent. "You-you love him" maka stuttered. spirit looked at him and his face softened. "I love you to" spirit said back to him quietly. Maka just started in shock at her father and her professor. "You two are dating?" Maka asked. "Yeah" spirit said. maka couches her fist and stomps up to stein. She grabs his collar and pulls her fist in line with his face. "Maka" spirit says nervously. "Don't you dare break his heart like mama did! If you do that I will harness my weapon abilities and hurt you and give you more scars than Sid has!" Maka threatens. She lowers her fist and puts him down. "your daughter does care about you" stein says as he rubs his neck. "Yeh, I care about my dad, but I just don't show it" maka said. "Oh maka, I love you so much" spirit said as he hugs maka. "Papa, your choking me" maka sadly as she struggles for air. "sorry sweetie" he says. Stowe just watches and he cranks his screw in his head. "I am sorry stein" spirit says. "How much times so I have to says, call me Franken" stein says. "Okay, but I am just used to saying stein" spirit pouts. "God papa, I should start calling you mama" maka teased. "I like that Idea" stein seconded. Spirit flicked stein's screw and it rang through his head. Stein dropped to the ground holding his screw. "You're an ass spirit" stein said. "Is he gonna be okay?" Maka asked. "yeah, when we attended, that was how I punished him" spirit said. "Oh" maka said as she looked at stein. Stein stood up and just held his screw. "Does it still hurt?" Maka asked. "Yeah, it rings through my head like a air horn. And he just makes it worse" stein groaned and pointed at spirit. "How do I make it worse?" Spirit teased. "When we went here, you didn't just flick my screw once, you did it multiple times then would scratch me, with your blade" "stein said. "You make it seem like I was the dominate then, you soul forced me" spirit said. "I need to get back in class" maka said. "Okay, see you later maka" spirit said. Maka walked into her class. "I am gonna go home" stein said. "Okay, see you at home" spirit said as he waved. Spirit walked down the halls and walked into the death room to see lord death pinching Azusa's cheeks. "Lord death, stop pinching her cheeks" spirit said. Lord death stopped. "How do you put up with him?" Azusa asked. "Easily, he listens to me and I listen to him" spirit said. Lord death and spirit fist bumped and Azusa stormed out. "She seems a it cranky" spirit said. "Well I was teasing her the whole time you were gone" lord death said. "Hey would you do that?" Spirit asked. "Because it was fun" lord death said and started laughing. "So, did you sort out stuff with stein and maka?" Lord death asked. "Yeah, and surprisingly maka threatened stein" spirit said. "Well they were just fighting, who would threaten." Lord death said. "No, not the gloating type, she threatened saying that if he broke my heart like mama, she would harness her weapon abilities and give him more scars than Sid had" spirit said. "She really cares about you, I could have told you that" lord death said. "So you knew she didn't hate me, but you never told me?" Spirit said. "Yeah, it's fun seeing how things happen" lord death explained. "You are evil" spirit said as he poked lord death. "Do you want to spy on people?" Lord death asked. "Well what else is there to do?" Spirit said. Lord death turned on the mirror. "I want to see how kids mission is going" lord death said as he moved his finger around the screen. Kids image showed up and kid was just flipping through the air and shooting all the Kishins in the area. Kid gets knocked down and kishins start to move in on him. Lord death and spirit watch in horror as kid gets knocked out but Liz comes out of her form and takes patty form his hand and half forms her other hand and takes down all the Kishins. She lifts kid up and her and patty lift up kid. They both take off one of his rings and they join hands and a portal opens. Kid and patty quickly put the rings back on his hands and carry him through the portal. Lord death turns off the mirror just in time as a portal opens in the death room.
