Chapter Ten

As Reina had left the dining area she stopped midway to the stairs as she saw an elder and younger raven couple come into the establishment. She took a few steps back and went back to the dining area to get her mother and King Regis. "Excuse me, pardon my interruption but uh...oh my way to my room two people came into the castle and I don't know who they are."

Both King Regis and her mother got up concerned and confused about what Reina had said, Noctis followed his father as Reina went with him. The four of them went to the entrance area only for Reina to hide behind Noctis unsure about what was going on. "Hello, may I assist you in any way?" King Regis asked

"Yes actually, I have been told that the queen and the children of the Dymon kingdom are staying here. I wish to speak with the queen and both children if it isn't much trouble." The elder male stated with a hand on his chest

Mari looked rather confused. "Just who are you? I do not know of you and do not wish to speak to someone I have no knowledge of." Mari said seriously

"Oh my apologies. My name is Skia Cheney. I am the current king of the dragon kin kingdom of Raewan." The elder male said sincerely "I have been in contact recently with the seven demon lords and one of them made mention that if I wished to have any relations with the demon kingdoms that I must make myself known here."

As the adults were talking Reina saw that the young male beside Skia was staring straight at her. She felt more afraid of the male than she was of her own brother. Reina got out of her trance as she heard her mother speak about her.

"Reina is already arranged to marry Prince Noctis. I refuse to allow my daughter to be stuck between a love triangle! If you had made yourself known before now maybe I would have agreed to allow my daughter around your son! But as it stands you have coward away from everything thus far! Why now are you showing yourself anyways?!" Mari hissed out annoyed

Skia had nothing to say, so Reina spoke up. "Mother..may I speak up?" Reina asked curiously

Mari raised an eyebrow at her daughter. "Of course, sure thing."

"Just recently has Noctis shown that he has feelings for me. It was only due to the fact that I had finally expressed myself after many attempts of hinting towards him that he showed that he cared for me. I do not truly believe that he can accept all of me even if he had said so. I believe that he is afraid of me still. So I wish to see if the male that's been staring at me this entire time has a better way of reading people than the human prince you've allowed me to be arranged to marry." Reina stated firmly

Noctis couldn't believe what he was hearing from her. "B-But Rei! How could you suggest such a thing?! I thought you liked me?!"

"I do, don't get me wrong on that. But tell me before I ever spoke a word to you about my feelings. Did you truly care for me or did the guilt of being the sole reason that I would have left with my father get to you?" Reina asked as she narrowed her eyes at Noctis

Noctis averted his eyes as he realized she had seen right through him, she scoffed "That's what I thought."

Mari had no idea what had actually happened between Reina and Noctis, knowing that it was guilt that made Noctis want to contact her daughter it was obvious that it wasn't truly love that made him want to contact her. Mari sighed out and rubbed between her eyes. "Goodness me."

Regis spoke up as he looked at Skia "If you wish to see if your son can do better than my own son for the only daughter of Queen Mari, then I am more than happy to open my home to you and your son."
