As Adam and Julie went to the back of the library, where those old documents and articles were, but there was something else there as Julie looked around and saw old photos there too, making her question it.
Adam looks at some bookshelves and boxes and says, "Let's see... And I found something; it looks like an old document from a publisher but was refused, hm. That's odd."
Julie takes a look at the document and asks, "Wait, it is...?"
Adam replies, "This says that the author Alexander W. of the book 'Fire' did not accept the proposal that the book would be sold, but as a memoir."
Julie looks confused. "Wait, so this guy didn't want any money for it? So why did this person even write a book in the first place and put it here?"
Adam was confused as well. "I have no idea... My grandmother never told me that. Oh, wait, there you have it: A.W. is a shorter form in order to Alexander Walf."
In that moment, Julie released something: "Hm... Mr. Walf had one son...? Julie asks, and Adam responds, "Ah, actually, my grandmother told me that Mr. Walf had two... I guess: Michael and Alexander Walf." He looks a bit unsure.
Julie immediately interrupts him. "Wait, how did she know that?"
Adam tried to remember, "Well, my grandmother used to be very good friends with Mr. Walf... But I didn't know one of them was a writer."
Julie interrupts him, "Wait, so you are saying that Mr. Michael, who died 6 years ago, had a brother...?" and Julie had a lot of thoughts and questions on her mind that made her suspicious and wonder as she murmured to herself, "Alexander Walf, who are you...? And what happened to you? Why are you a mystery in the first place? Are you still alive?"
Adam couldn't understand what Julie was saying, so he continued, "Ah, right. So, since this book was written in the 1980s, I couldn't find another book by this author. Apparently, this is the only edition. However, it says here that the book was then given to some person named Nan and an editor by the name of Edward R., but nothing more."
As Adam wants to put the book back, "I guess that it wouldn't help you much with your school project..." immediately Julie turns around, interested in the book, and says, "Can I borrow this!? I think that this book will help me. It might be one of the most unknown cases that will be something for my school project."
Adam looks at her surprised, "Ah, okay, sure." and hands over the book to Julie, "There. And we have to see... other information about the town itself." As Adam and Julie looked around, box after box, each one had a different document of information about Walfield, making the search more interesting.
As minutes went by, Julie looked at her watch and noticed that she had not a lot of time left as she needed to return to school. "Oh damnit," and Adam looks at her and asks, "Something wrong?"
Quickly, Julie got up and said, "I got to go. I have to go back to school; my class has already started!" Adam said, "Sure, no problem. Maybe we can search more next time."
As Julie rushes in a hurry, "Yeah, sure. Thank you anyway! Bye, Adam!" and as she waved goodbye and walked to the door on her way to school.
Meanwhile, Adam, who was still there, was curious about this whole situation that his grandmother had never told him before, making him wonder who Edward R. is and now also about this woman named Nan, who seems like there is a connection there.
But until Adam was more wondering as he was so surprised to hear that name Alexander Walf again, making him questioning, "Couldn't it be possible..." as Adam questioned himself, and then all the sudden he started to get headings and shakes his head, places his hand on the forehead, "What are you not telling us, grandma...?" as he whispered and looks down annoyed about something.
Consequently, Adam began to hunt for further hints and details regarding Edward R., Nan, and Alexander Walf. Almost none of them could be found.
