It was late in the night, some much needed quiet. (Y/N) was on top of a tower in the scouts HQ, leaning on the edge and looking at the sun setting over wall Sina. He had some time to think to himself for the moment, to reflect. That fight in Stohess, it was never meant to go down like that. He figured he needed to do some much needed training. To protect Pieck. Pieck was special to him. Ever since that day he met her, he just had this urge, this urge to serve and protect.

Next was Annie, Bertholdt, and Riener. They're all together and definitely planning against him, he had to protect himself and work with the scouts. His biggest worry is that those three will just show up someday without warning. No one knows who they are and honestly it probably wouldn't be a good idea for Erwin to tell the public. They'd go on a witch hunt and surely die trying to kill them.

Eren, that kid is gonna get himself killed at some point. Surely he's the attack titan but just because you're a shifter doesn't mean you can't die. If he leads the charge like every attack titan since the beginning of time then he's bound to lose. There's no guarantee that (Y/N) is there to help him. With two skilled hand to hand titans and the damage output of the colossal then it's unlikely he wins.

So much stress that has been building up over the past few months. It was moments like these that (Y/N) was honestly missing. He ran his hand through his hair for a moment and let out a long sigh. He heard a door behind him, looking back he saw Pieck. Her hair was normal, messy and slightly unkempt, but that was her charm.

"Hey hey, figured you be up here," Pieck said as she leaned on the ledge next to him.

"Figured you would find me," (Y/N) responded looking as the sun finally set.

"I always do, you know that. What're you up here for?"

"Just thinking,"

"About?"

"Things, there's been a lot going on recently,"

"Yeah but we made it through at least," Pieck said through her leg over the ledge. Straddling the wall as she looked at him.

"What are you doing?"

"Living on the edge, join me," She said, sitting down on the smallest edge. He looked at the over 40 foot height and threw his own leg over. Sitting down beside her with his legs hanging off the edge. "Good job, so what exactly were you thinking about?"

"You're warrior friends,"

"They're not my friends anymore, I chose my side. They attacked us just as much as we attacked them," Pieck justified rolling her hands in her lap.

"That's what I'm afraid of, what if they just show up?"

"They won't, they're the ones who ran. If they do show up we'll fight, I'll help you,"

"I don't want you to help me anymore, look what one of them did to you. Imagine what they could do if they all gang up you,"

"We only won when we worked together (Y/N). We're better together," Pieck looked over with a heartwarming smile.

"I get that but not when you're in harm's way like that,"

"Is that what you were thinking of when I wasn't here?" She slightly pushed him. "I'm weak right? You have to always protect me, make sure I'm okay. (Y/N) I can handle myself,"

"I know that, I can't risk it," (Y/N) said with a slight shout.

"Risk what (Y/N), what would be so bad that you want to keep me away from you?" Pieck shouted back. Surprising to see from the usual docile woman.
