Branch wakes up like usual. Get up, get coffee, have breakfast with Poppy.... Wait, what? The past few weeks have been a wreck. As much as he had liked the idea of living with Poppy, he wished he had thought it out a bit longer. With waking up early, headaches were sure to come soon... he's been having stronger coffee lately, although the effects are beginning to be the opposite of what he's expecting. Poppy has been a bit quieter today, so Branch is both relieved and worried.

I walk to the kitchen and pour my coffee, yawning while doing so. I notices the silence. Longer than usual.... too long.... So, I walk back to the bedroom, thinking, 'It's been 2 hours.... Why isn't she awake yet?' As I open the door, I soon realize that Poppy is in fact awake, however, she is still in bed.

"Uh, Poppy? You good?" I ask, tilting my head as I ask.

Poppy rolls over in the bed, groaning, not saying a word. I slowly walk closer, examining Poppy, trying to figure out what is wrong. "Poppy?" I say as I sit down next to her and put the back of my hand against her forehead. It does feel a bit warm, better ask more....

"So.... Do you want any water? I mean, if you feel like sitting up...." Not that type of question... but hey, why not ask?

"No...." Poppy mumbles.

What does she mean? "You don't want water?" I ask, confused. "I can't tell... I'm still going to get water for you."

I rush to the kitchen and grab a glass of water, before carefully walking back to the bedroom, so I don't trip and spill the water. I set it on the bedside table, and look over at Poppy, smiling a bit, before walking over to the other side of the bed and laying down. I look at Poppy as she rolls over to look at me.

"No.... You'll get sick..." Poppy says.

"Well, I accept my fate," I say, smiling at her, before moving a piece of her hair out of her face.

Poppy giggles, hugging me. I flinch at the sudden contact, but relax and hug her back a second later
