LATER, JUDY WAS MURDERED BY GHOSTFACE OUTSIDE at the front of her house while Wes is taking a shower.
But before Judy was killed, Judy gave Wes a combination to the secret storage under Judy's floorboard upstairs: 7-2-5-8.
Wes dried himself off from the shower. Wes goes to the kitchen and sets the table while Judy goes out to get the food. But Wes has no idea that Judy is dead outside in the front yard.
Wes was hearing strange noises. He goes to check and sees the front door is cracked open. Wes goes to the door to open it. Up until... Wes hears a movement, which startles him. Wes turns around and it is Ghostface that he sees.
The killer leaps from Judy's open closet and rushes at Wes, brandishing a knife.
Wes was about to outmaneuver Ghostface when he grabbed a taser and tased Ghostface, sending the killer to the ground. Then, just as Ghostface is about to attack, Wes takes a decorative glass plate and smashes it over the killer's head, breaking it on Ghostface's skull and sending the murderer tumbling back to the ground.
Wes runs and is chased by a recovered Ghostface. Wes enters Judy's den and puts an office chair in front of the door. Ghostface was banging on the door, trying to knock it down.
Wes finds a storage space underneath the floorboards. And he types in 7-2-5-8. After he types in the code, a weapons storage box opens, filled with guns, bullets, knives, etc.
As Wes grabs one of the guns, a crash comes from above. It was Ghostface.
Ghostface crashes through the ceiling window, landing on Wes's back. Wes fires six shots at Ghostface, but the bullets miss the attacker and strike a glass pane and other items instead.
Wes stands up from the ground and fires the gun at Ghostface once more. However, Ghostface moves fast, raises the knife, and stabs Wes in the upper right chest region as Wes is still firing.
Ghostface swiftly grabs and pins Wes against the wall, takes Wes's wrist, and turns the rifle back onto Wes just as an injured Wes is ready to fire at Ghostface once more.
"FUCK... YOU!" Wes yelled.

Ghostface promptly kills him by shooting him once in the chest and four times torso.
Then the killer releases Wes, and his lifeless body falls to the ground with his blood seeping from it, and Ghostface is looking at him.
Wes Hicks is dead.

LATER, WHEN SAM STOPS AT THE HICKS' RESIDENCE and notices there was a crime scene. Sam gets out of the car to find out what's going on. Sam sees Judy's corpse and then realizes that Wes is dead.
