Emma Larsen Pov:
Just the second I walk out of the office, I take a big breath. Feeling the monegasque breeze on my warm skin.  Shit this is where I'm going to live from now on. I start to type a message to my parents that I accepted the offer when I see another notification pop up. I open up the chat and it seems to be like Mateo. I haven't spoken to him since I met him at the club and got his number on Saturday.

Mateo🤷‍♀️:
Hey Emma! It's Mateo, wanna go out for some lunch later today?

Me:
Yeah sure I would like that! When should we meet and where?

Mateo🤷‍♀️:
Maybe at 13:00? At the harbour?

Me:
Yeah that sounds like a plan, see you

I smile at the plan. Having almost a celebratory lunch with a total hot guy I don't really know , but I vibed with him for a few hours. I look at the clock and it's not enough time for me to go home and say my things to the girls yet so I just walk around doing some small shopping like some new jewellery. When the time do round 13:00 I find myself waiting at the harbour, having no idea what Mateo has in store.

"Hey Emma!" I turn my head upwards to see Mateo walking towards me. He is looking smoking hot today. Even better than last time. He has some beige linen shorts, and a white linen shirt on and he looks absolutely delicious. My gosh he was actually so stunning. I catch my heart skipping a beat and my mouth opening, I reply him "Hey Mateo", as smile creeps on my face.

He looks at me and smiles and that's when I notice his dimples. I get a bit startled myself and I feel myself smile even more. I walk a bit closer to him and stand there contemplating for a few seconds if he is a person who likes hugs or not. "What are you wondering about now Emma?" He says with a chuckle. Shit what do I even say?

"Uhm I'm thinking about whether you like hugs or not" I say very embarrassed. I mentally face palm myself. Mateo chuckles at my awkward state. His mouth widens in a smile. "Come here" he nods his head upwards and he opens his arms. I walk closer to him and I see that he is actually going to give me a hug. I smile, and I step into his arms and I take my arms around him too. He wraps his strong arms around my back, squeezing me.

His hug felt good. Maybe a bit too good. My head in his chest and I feel his heartbeat beating a bit faster as we hug. We stand like that for a bit and then we pull apart. I smile. He smelled delicious , and his body was warm.

"I know a great lunch place we can head to" Mateo says breaking the silence. I nod and I follow after him as he leads the way to the cafe.

"So what have you been doing today?" He asks me and I get a bit startled. " Uhm you remember the job interview I told you about?" I answer him and he nods. "Well I'm gonna be working here in August" I say with a chuckle "and I haven't really told anyone yet it actually just you that knows this" . His face lightens "oh my , congratulations Emma! I guess I will be seeing more of you then" he says with a smirk and he gives me a wink .
" yeah" I say with a shy face.
I think I'd like that.

Mateo stops up at a cozy looking cafe, not too many people are seated here or in sight. "This is my hidden gem, I go here when I'm in the mood to not be bothered. I think you will like it here" he says with a smile and motions for me to walk in.

I open the door and I walk in first. It has a cozy atmosphere and it looks very cute. The natural lighting showing through the windows is lighting up the whole cafe. "Wow" I let out a whisper to myself.

"Let's order and we will sit outside, it's almost June so we must sit outside." Mateo says with a smile. I walk up to the counter so I could look at the menu that was on the wall. I scan them quickly before making my decision. "I think I will take a mocha Frappe and maybe a baguette" I say to the lady behind the counter. " I'll  take a pepsi max and then an iced coffee. I'll also grab the baguette" Mateo orders right after.

The lady smiles at us and types in the total , and I begin to grab my card to pay. Before I even had the chance to lay my card down, Mateo has already paid. I raise my arms in frustration.

"Mateo, come on. I was gonna pay" I say to him surprised. "Emma you just scored yourself a job today. Take this as your celebration gift from me, plus I make bank" Mateo says in the same tone as me, teasing me.

The lady laughs at us as we small bicker, and I begin to walk to the seating outside, Mateo not far behind. I sit down on a chair that faces another chair. Mateo sits down on the other seat. He is wearing a smile.

"So what have you been up to today?" I ask him the same question he asked me earlier. "Uhm I've trained and then I'm just trying to enjoy my job free days until the race weekend starts in two days" Mateo says. My eyes widen.

"Yes you're the formula one driver, gosh I searched it up. It's like a huge sport but only  20 racing people. That's quite impressive" I say to him.

"Yeah I've worked a lot for it" Mateo says as he lean his chin on his hand. My gaze then shifts over to his arms. Shit his biceps look huge, like I knew his arms were strong but this is something different, and his hands are really veiny. I'm checking out his fingers when I noticed he has a ring on his finger and I turn shocked. "I have the same ring as you do, just the female version" I say as I take his hand beside mine. It's a ring with a pendent of a globe. I have it since I like to travel. I guess he does too. His eyes also show that he is surprised. I show him my hands.  "Nice nails" he comments when he sees my hands. " thank you" I say with even more shocked face " I got them done for the girls trip" I explain. "Yeah I remember the girls trips thing , how many friends are you with?" He asks me curious. "Uhm its me and my close 3 friends"I answer with a smile

He takes my hand and looks at my nails. They are just a simple French nail with blue and purple flowers on them. "They're cute" he says with a smile "not cuter than you though" he smirks and gives me a wink. I chuckle and I feel my cheeks warm up. My smile also widens. I can't stop smiling when I'm around Mateo. He's such a flirt. "Thank you" I say and I try to hide my expression. " de nada" he says with a grin. He speaks Spanish? Yes ofc he does, Emma he is Spanish. I face palm myself in my imagination.

Our food and drinks arrives and I take a sip of my iced frappe. I let out a small moan from how good it tastes . I noticed Mateo grinning harder than before and I blush a little. He ordered a Pepsi max and an iced coffee as drinks. "It's almost summer, why don't you just order soda as your refreshement drink?" He asks me. "This is a refreshment drink! But anyways I don't like soda or anything with sparkling, I usually just drink icetea and water " I answer and his face turns into a shocked look. I give him a laugh.
" it's not that weird" I say. "You're a grown ass adult, and you don't like sodas. That's unheard of" he chuckles and then he thinks for a bit. " wait how old are you? I never asked you that" He asks and I let out a bigger laugh. " I'm 21, and you?" I answer. " I'm 22 don't worry amore" he says with a grin. Outside it looks like I just gave him a nod of approval, but inside I'm screaming of joy.

We eat and talk and then he eventually reminds me of the race he was gonna do "Are you still available on Sunday?, you are more than welcome to come and watch the race" he asks. I'm pleased with a smile " yes I am, I'll come watch and support you" i say. He smiles " I'm excited"
