Chasetown, Washington

Upon waking up, Cody lets out a groan and gets out of bed. He selects a red hoodie and blue pants to wear, before making his way to the bathroom. In the bathroom, Cody proceeds to brush his teeth, spitting out the toothpaste into the sink. He then washes his face and dries it off with a towel.

Cody puts on a red hoodie and blue pants, then combs his messy black hair. He stares at the briefcase with a glare.

Should I take the briefcase?

Maybe I could ask Toby and Amelia to look after it.

Cody has possession of the briefcase and departs the room. Upon leaving, he proceeds to Toby and Amelia's quarters and begins to knock on their door.

Toby opens the door. "Cody?"

"Hey, Toby. Can you look after the briefcase?" Cody asked.

Toby expressed annoyance by rolling his eyes. He begrudgingly accepted the briefcase from Cody and promptly shut the door to avoid any further conversation.

Cody headed to the elevator and decided to pull his hood up, just in case. He had a feeling Charlotte might have already seen him, but he couldn't help but wonder if she was around.

Cody entered the elevator and pushed the button for the ground floor. The elevator began to move gradually. He regretted not informing Micheal about it, as he knew that keeping a secret would make him angry.

But still, he has to do some digging.

After a chime, the elevator door opened and Cody stepped out. He observed that Charlotte was absent from the counter.

That's odd.

Cody went for a walk on the peaceful roads. He retrieved his phone and accessed Google Maps to locate Joe's Cafe.

To his surprise, Joe's Cafe was 8 minutes away. He arrived at the cafe. Cody went inside. His eyes immediately went searching for Max. He went table after table in search of Max.

After a tap on his arm, he glanced down to see Max. His height had increased compared to his agent uniform, reaching shoulder level. Max was sporting black jeans and a blue shirt.

Max is a little taller than Cody.

"We meet again, Cody Grover," Max said, grinning at the startled boy.

"Stop calling me by my full name. It's frankly annoying," Cody said. He took a seat across from Max.

"How about Sir Cody Grover? Am I allowed to call you that?" he asked.

Word didn't form from Cody's lips.

"Ok then, I shall call you Sir Cody Grover,"

Cody cut him off mid-sentence. "Just get to the point,"

"So, you want answers of why am I after the briefcase? Is that correct?" Max asked just to be sure.

"Yes..." Cody said, feeling kind of wary of his intentions.

Max cleared his throat before speaking. He leaned close.

"I work independently. I'm sure I told you about this part. I have been undercover for years. When Charlotte told me about you, I realized that I had to help you out. Because this mission is more dangerous than you ever know," Max said.

He sighed as he continued.

"Honestly, I wanted to be an agent. I worked hard as an agent. Until Joseph Graves discharged me for some reason-"

"W-wait, Joseph Graves? What does he have to do with this?" Cody asked. "Why did he discharge you?"

Max sipped coffee from his cup before looking up at Cody. "Because I wasn't good enough. He said in his own words that I'm not ready to do some real fighting. You get what I mean,"

"After that, I started to work in secret. I trust Charlotte. I trust her enough not to rat me out. She was the one who gave me the mission to watch out for you and your friends,"

"Does Joseph know about this?" he asked.

"No," he glanced at the younger man. "He never knew. I've been doing this for 6 years I believe. Your father was my idol. I looked up to him more. I'm sorry about your father. He was a good man from what I know,"

Cody sighed. "It's ok. It's not that bad when it comes to grieving stage,"

Max understood. "Being an agent is in your blood, Cody,"

Cody looked at Max in shock. He burst out laughing.

"It's funny because someone used to tell me that while I was stuck in London," Cody lamented his time in London.

Meanwhile at Charlestown Airport

As Henry emerges from the airport, he feels disoriented by his surroundings. He observes individuals entering cabs and departing by car as he looks around.

He finds an empty cab. He immediately sprinted to the cab. Before Henry could get in, a hand made its way to the door.

"I found the cab first," A girl said.

Henry turned to look at a girl with short spiky hair and almost goth.

"No, I did," Henry said incredulously. "I'm on a mission here, spiky girl. So give me the cab now," forcefulness came out of his tone.

She was scandalized by the fact that he called her "spiky girl".

Henry leaned toward her. "What do you want to call you then? Goth girl? Or rich goth girl?"

The driver couldn't help but chuckle, it was quite amusing.

She didn't say anything. Only disbelief is plastered on her face.

"Thought so," Henry said.

"We shall see each other again. This conversation is not over," she said.

Henry rolled his eyes. He got in the cab. He slammed the door.

"Where to?" Driver asked.

"To Parallel Pass Hotel," Henry said. "Drive quickly. It's a matter of life or death situation here,"

The driver left the airport immediately, causing Henry's day to take a turn for the worse.

First, he got a threat

Second, he informed Owen of his departure.

Third, it is likely his mother will believe he has left the family.

Fourth, he traveled all this way to warn his older brother what was about to come.

Fifth, the girl was unkind to him when it came to finding a cab. She could have tried to find another one instead. not a big deal.

After taking a deep breath, Henry expressed his hope of never encountering her. He made it to the hotel and stepped out of the car, using up the remaining amount of money he had. Cody's reaction was something he detested and expected to face.

Henry walked inside. His eyes wandered around the building.

"Henry?"

Upon turning, he noticed Cody with a male companion. Cody's countenance displayed absolute incredulity. His visage was marked with rage.

Cody embraces his brother with relief.

Henry felt both bewildered and surprised as he reluctantly gave in to the embrace.

"What are you doing here?" Cody asked. "How are everyone back home?"

No word formed on Henry's face.

"Cody, we need to talk," Henry said sharply, not even answering Cody's questions.

That's when he knew he had to tell Cody everything.

A/N: I was thinking about which point of view I should write for the next chapter and other chapters. Should I write the characters' point of view or the narrator?
