The windy Monday morning hinted at a possible downpour. Students flooded the school premises, mostly in pairs. Jungkook and Taehyung had already arrived, standing by the parking rack as Taehyung struggled to strap his bike in place. Jungkook stood, watching him with a pout, meanwhile Taehyung avoided his gaze."For the last time, Kookie, no." Taehyung had said, sensing Jungkook's eyes on him.
After securing his bike, Taehyung placed his hands on his waist, satisfied. His backpack was slung over one shoulder. "Let's go, let's find Jimin. We're a bit early—" he suggested.
But Jungkook was persistent. "Taeeeee." he whined, giving Taehyung his best puppy eyes. "Pleeeeease."
Taehyung sighed. "An agreement is an agreement." he reminded Jungkook.
Their usual arrangement was for Jungkook to hand over his phone to Taehyung, but Jungkook had refused. Despite promising to focus in class and not play games, Taehyung remained skeptical. He proposed two alternatives: Jungkook could either leave his phone at home or continue with their original deal. Jungkook rejected both options.
Determined to get his way, Taehyung decided to tackle Jungkook and retrieve the phone. However, Jungkook's strength proved to be a challenge. That was when Mrs. Jeon intervened, tickling Jungkook and catching him off guard. Seizing the opportunity, Taehyung managed to snatch the phone from Jungkook's grasp.
"I literally said I wasn't going to play games, Just give it to me." Jungkook reasoned, his voice laced with persuasion.
Taehyung remained unmoved, his hands tucked into his pockets. "No means no... Let's get out of here—" he uttered, strolling away.
Jungkook didn't budge, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Are you coming or not?" Taehyung asked, turning back to face him.
Jungkook sauntered towards Taehyung, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Well... it's not like you get to keep the phone for the rest of your life. You'll be giving it to me during lunch break, remember?" Jungkook teased, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Taehyung scoffed, his eyes flashing with challenge. "Let's see how you'll get it from me after lunch." Jungkook added, his grin widening.
"We'll see—" Taehyung shot back, his voice firm.
The two friends continued walking towards the school lounge, where they hoped to find Jimin.

The duo made their way to their seats, with Taehyung sprinting for the window seat as usual. Jungkook sighed and shook his head, chuckling at Taehyung's antics. "Idiot." he muttered under his breath.
Taehyung grinned. " I heard that!" he announced.
Jungkook rolled his eyes and took his backpack off, he began to organize his materials, scanning the classroom as he did so.
Taehyung, meanwhile, was busy preparing for class, aware that Mr. Jin could arrive at any moment. "I think I forgot my textbook—" he nudged Jungkook who replied with a grin. "One day you'll forget yourself—" Taehyung stuck his tongue out at him in a teasing manner. " we'll share mine." jungkook added, ignoring Taehyung's childishness.
the door swung open. Half the class looked up, expecting Mr. Jin, but instead, a panting Eun Ji walked in, slightly drenched from the rain.
Taehyung glanced out the window, noticing the rain for the first time. His gaze returned to Jungkook, who was staring at Eun Ji with concern.
