Behind Blood Red Eyes (Murder Drones x male reader)

Episode 4 : Cabin Fever Part 2

A tree is sent crashing to the ground as (Y/N) pulls one of his wings back, wooden splinters falling at his feet while he roars in frustration, "WHERE ARE YOU DOLL?! I KNOW YOU'RE OUT HERE, AND I WILL FIND YOU! YOU HEAR ME?! I WILL FIND YOU!" As the ravager drone's blood-red eyes glow brightly, Kira looks at her son with both concern and fear; she knows that his transformation has made him more prone to becoming aggressive, but seeing him like this while he's still in control is heartbreaking for her.

As the ravager drone's eyes dart around in search of Doll, Kira slowly approaches him, carefully reaching out to him, "(Y/N)?" Getting ever closer to him, the worker drone ducks under his swinging tail, the spikes clamped into their ball form breaking through another tree and toppling it. Looking in shock at what her son just did, Kira backs up to avoid getting accidentally hit before calling out to him again, "(Y/N); please, calm down."

Keeping her voice as calm as she can, Kira advances again, but once more (Y/N)'s actions risk injuring her as he rips through the forest, having yet to realize that Doll has been gone for some time. Carefully looking at her son's moves, she takes a deep breath before rushing over to him and grabbing his shoulders, "(Y/N)! Calm yourself. It's fine, just listen to my voice, alright."

Seeing his mother's worried and pleading eyes, (Y/N) starts coming out of his rage-filled state as his panting slows and the brightness of his crimson orbits dim. Loosening her grip, Kira smiles a bit as she sees him calm down; after a moment, the ravager drone starts speaking, his voice returning to normal, "I'm... sorry. I didn't mean t-" The silver-haired robot places her forehead against his, cutting his sentence off with her calming gaze, "Shhh. It's ok; don't worry about it."

The duo stays like this for a bit before Kira speaks up, "Listen (Y/N), you don't have to be here. I can't say I know how you feel, but I am aware that this is very hard for you, so if you don't think you can handle this mentally, I implore you to go home." Separating from each other, the ravager drone sighs, letting his eyes return to (E/C), before responding to his mother, "In all honesty, I don't know if I can do this. I'm scared because I have no idea what's going on. Everything that's been happening recently is completely insane, and I feel like my loss of control getting worse; it's no longer restricted to running low on oil, I mean last time I went berserk I had barely sustained any damage, I just got really angry at Doll for some reason, then the next thing I know, I'm looking at what I was sure was her ripped up corpse. I might not remember what happened, but I know I'm the only one who could have done that kind of mauling damage."

Both mother and son sit down on one of the fallen trees, the worker drone holding the ravager drone's hand as he continues, "The part which scares me the most is that this angry feeling returns whenever Uzi uses that new power she has. When I first saw her eye changing into a weird symbol, I had a bit of annoyance or something like that, but now that it's giving her abilities, I'm starting to get that horrible, rage-filled feeling again." (Y/N)'s claws dig into the wood as he begins being overwhelmed, and tears appear at the corners of his optics, "If I stay around Uzi, she and everyone around her could get hurt by me, or worse. I'm too dangerous."

Bowing his head, (Y/N) places it in his only remaining free hand while silently weeping, "I don't want to hurt anyone." Pulling his hand away, Kira looks at the ravager drone with sorrow, her eyes on the verge of tears, "Oh (Y/N), that's what you've been going through this entire time?" Wordlessly, he nods his head in confirmation as the worker drone hugs him, "I'm sorry; most of this is my fault, I should have just told you everything from the start, maybe then you wouldn't be in such an awful state."

About to wrap his arms around his mother, (Y/N) opens his mouth to speak, but suddenly his eyes hollow as he sees a boulder coming right at them. Grabbing Kira, the ravager drone switches position with her and uses his wings to block the attack, the large stone shattering against the appendages.
