There is a lot going on here but I am just going to let it happen and not get in the middle of it. Everyone is being very nice to Meredith and I think she likes the attention of my sisters. From things that have been said I don't think she got this attention for her family and she probably is feeling special right now.

I don't know anything about her home life but I am learning little things from the conversations. I was happy when my sisters told her that they could show her what being in a big loving family is like. I guess whatever this is with Meredith was just a fling in the beginning but I'm not sure what it is anymore.

I think I could see myself dating her and being with her but I don't know what she wants and I'm still not one hundred percent sure on what I want either.

I have just been sitting here silently listening to the conversation happening with Meredith and her childhood sounds, lonely.

I'm happy that my sisters want to show her what a real family is like but I don't like how rude Nancy came off about it. I also kind of wish they didn't bring that up because Meredith and I aren't even dating, we aren't even having occasional hookups. I have barely even touched her, not counting what recently happened at her house. We don't have much but if she wanted to I would date her.

I feel a weight slowly lower on my shoulder and I look down to see Meredith's head. I smile softly, she must be tired I would too if I were her she isn't used to all of this and my sisters are pretty tiring if you ask me.

"Tired?" I ask softly with a small chuckle as I watch her form a sleepy smile and she looks up at me.

"Just a little, this is a lot of socializing" She says softly her eyes closing for a second before opening again.

"Whenever you want to go home say the word, it's all up to you" I say softly rubbing her leg giving it a slight squeeze.

She nods softly but doesn't say anything she just makes a small hum sound. "You want her to leave so soon?" Nancy asks with an evil glint in her eye and a stupid smirk on her face.

"She has been here for hours Nancy why are you looking to start things?" I ask softly making small circles on Meredith's leg.

"It's okay Derek, I will just go home now I have a friend coming over anyway" Meredith speaks up softly.

"Are you sure?" I ask as she starts to sit up more.

"Yeah, It's no problem I'll see you some other time" she smiles and gets up and leaves the house but not before landing a small kiss on my head.

Once she's gone almost everyone looks at me with giant smiles on their faces. I roll my eyes at them and then soon later we fall back into comfortable conversation that isn't about me.
