Prologue--
"Mam, can we take a shortcut?" Driver asked while driving the car.
"Why?" Jingyi asked, her whole attention on a novel she was reading.
"Ma'am, this highway is long and we might get stuck in traffic for a long time," driver said
"Okay, then do whatever you want," Jingyi said, her attention still on her novel.
After some time, the driver stopped the car.
"Why did you stop the car? Did we reach?" she asked, still reading, but didn't get any answer.
"Why are you not answering me?" she asked again, but still didn't get any answer. Annoyed, she lifted her hand to find no one.
"Where the hell did he go?" she said, but when she looked straight ahead, her eyes widened.
A truck was coming towards her at full speed and she screamed, "Oh no!"
And then boom,
the truck hit the car.

Jingyi POVI feel my senses can't able to my eyes. I hear someone.
Is she doing something? Movement?
No.
(Someone sighs in sadness.)
It's been three years. She is still in a coma.
(A woman is crying.)
It's okay, honey. Our daughter will soon recover.
It's okay, honey. Our daughter is going to recover soon. Let's not lose hope. Let me be optimistic.
A man said in a caring tone.
But it's been three years, carm...
I can hear them clearly, but why does it look like they are talking about me? Why are my eyes closed? I want to open them, but I can't. Why?
And after a few seconds, a doctor rushed towards me.But again, I feel blank and then my mind went blank.
After a while, Jingyi was finally able to open her eyes. When she slowly opened her eyes, she immediately closed them because of the light and then blinked a few times.
As she opened her eyes, she found two unknown couple by her side looking at her with happy, teary eyes. And of course, she didn't know who they were.
Yunxi, one of the women, whispered softly with tears in her eyes.
Jingyi was confused, then she moved her gaze to find a middle-aged man smiling at her with tears in his eyes.
She was still weak, and now with so much struggle, she whispered with a slow tone, "Who are you?"
She noticed that they both heard her. The couple looked at each other.
"Yunxi, I am your mom," the woman said while crying.
"Why are you asking like that, daughter?" the man asked in a shocked voice.
Jingyi closed her eyes, calming her senses, and then said, "I really don't know you guys. Can you tell me your names, please?"
She asked, looking at them with confused eyes. Both the couple looked at each other, widening their eyes.
The man thought for a few seconds and then said, "Yunxi, I am Han Carn, your father, and she is your mother, Han Mina," he said while stuttering.
The woman nodded.
"Why does it look like I've heard this name somewhere, but I don't know where?" she thought.
Jingyi was in her thoughts when a doctor came running towards her.
First, he checked her with his stethoscope and then checked her hand.
Doctor: Miss Han, are you feeling okay?
Jingyi nodded.
Jingyi: Actually, I think you're confused in understanding me. I am Ju Jingyi, not Han Yunxi.
Jingyi said with a weak voice.
The doctor looked at the couple and then again at Jingyi.
Doctor: Mr. Han, I want to talk to you. Can you come to my cabin?
He said as he walked outside the door. Mr. Han looked at his wife as she nodded. Looking down, he also left the room.
Jingyi was trying hard to remember where she heard those names, but she was unable to remember. Yet, she was not fully recovered, so she had to remain calm.
Mina sat near the table and looked towards Jingyi, and said softly.
Yunxi, I am your mother Han Mina, and you're not Ju Jingyi. You're Han Yunxi, our daughter. You went into a coma three years ago because of an incident where you slipped from the terrace.Jingyi cut her off.
"Mrs. Mina, can you please stop messing with my mind? It was already messed up," she said annoyingly. But then she remembered where she had heard the name Han Yunxi and these names Han Mina and Han Carm. And also, the incident of falling from the terrace too. Her eyes widened.
"What the fuck," she cursed under her breath.
--
As the doctor entered the cabin, he sat on the table and motioned for Carm to take his seat too. Carm looked at him with tense eyes but eventually took the seat.
The doctor checked Yunxi's reports once and then looked at Han.
"I think, Mr. Han, Ms. Han Yunxi must have forgotten her real identity, as it has been three years since she went into a coma."
He said, examining her files.
"I don't understand, doctor," Carm asked, confused.
The doctor looked at Carm and said, "Mr. Ham, I think your daughter is suffering from dissociative identity disorder. In this disorder, people sometimes believe they are characters that don't even exist or someone else, completely forgetting their real selves."
Han furrowed his brow in tension. "So, do you mean she lost her memory and doesn't know who she is?"
The doctor nodded.

Jingyi's POVThis is Han Yunxi, the character from the novel I was reading before the accident. She is the female lead of that novel, and this woman is claiming to be Han. Mina. She was a character and the mother of the female lead. The female lead got into an accident when I was reading that scene, and then I don't remember anything...
What the fuck is happening? Is this a prank or what?
