Chazm. At the time of this event it wasn't a religion. This is the begging. This is the event that will cause chaos and suffering later down the line. But we'll get to that point later.

The stars were always a beautiful phenomenon. At first seen as unpredictable, later on a pattern was noticed. In some places, the pattern was caused by earth's rotation, in some, rotation of the universe.

Not here. Here, the earth didn't exist. It was simply an illusion, and the creatures there were at the mercy of the illusioner. Their fate was fully dependent on the being. Some could call it god.

"God" lived in the stars, deciding when it was their time to shine. It called them it's home.

The problem is, there was no-one to worship it. No-one to fuel  it's power. There were no intelligent beings. Only animals and beast who relied on their instincts.

"God" has tried many times to get actual people to inhabit it. But could only create mindless monsters, who wandered around until something whipped them out.

One of it's tries was nearly successful. It called them Villagers. They were intelligent. They could farm, collect resources, establish a currency. But they weren't conscious. Their only goal was to survive.

There were exceptions. Some of them understood the concept of emotions. Every villager could feel fear, but these ones discovered something new. Anger.

And so came Pillagers. With them, villagers had to find a new way to protect themselves. Both sides finding new technology.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every day was making "god" weaker. It was spending it's power trying to find a source, but without it, "god" couldn't get back it's power. Which eventually led to it's downfall.

It fell from the stars, destroying the ground breath it as it crashed, loosing it's physical form in the process. Leaving a giant hole as the only evidence of it's failure. With the last remains of it's power, it teleported humans from other realms to its territory, breaking a shit ton of laws.

Out of said humans, it chose a saint. Someone who could hear it, someone who is supposed to gather strength for it as it rests. Because if it dies, the place will collapse, causing chaos and the beings living there suffering.

I am choosing to do this instead of physics.
