CHAPTER TWO: "GRIEF."
Alexis walked towards her brother's bedroom with a plate of spaghetti and meatballs in her hand. Seth locked himself in, and he blasted loud rock music in the room. His sister was worried sick about him, and she wanted him to eat his dinner, because he'd skipped lunch and breakfast.
She knew he loved Melissa, but she didn't know he loved her to the point where he would isolate himself and not eat.
Alexis knocked on his bedroom door.
"Seth." she called out, trying to make her voice louder than the music.
No response. All she heard was extremely loud music.
"Seth!" she practically screamed.
He wasn't answering again.
Seth heard her actually, he just didn't want to speak. For hours, he was throwing objects like a chair, lamp, and bottles of water. He wanted to break everything. He was completely torn asunder and heartbroken. Seth's coping mechanism was throwing and breaking things. That's how it's always been.
This time, he was more violent. Alexis was worried.
"Please, Seth! Open the door!" she yelled. Alexis put down the plate of food and started pounding on the door.
Still, no response. Seth was in a completely different world at this point.
Alexis sighed and kept the plate on the ground. She took out her phone and texted Seth:

July 13, 2022.
Seth and Melissa were out on a beach date. They were going surfing, and just having a nice summery day. Everything was perfect, and Seth was teaching Melissa how to surf.
He held her as she tried to balance herself, and then all of a sudden he had an 'evil' plan. He pushed her off the surfboard with a smug grin, and she dropped in the water. The water wasn't too deep though.
Seth broke out into a fit of laughter only to see a displeased look from his girlfriend, who also was about to attack him.
