BLOODTHIRSTY; 03

Once I got home, I noticed my mom's car wasent outside or near the house. There was a note at the counter though. "I got a new job at a convenient store! I'll be home by 7 pm." The note said. I shrugged it off and went upstairs in my room. I still couldn't stop thinking about Bill. I've never had any contact with him, so why am I thinking about him? It's actually getting annoying. I grabbed my book bag and started to do homework, I needed to clear my mind anyways.
Later that day, it was about to be 7 so I knew my mom was coming home soon. I was just about to go downstairs, until I heard something out my room window. I slowly walked near it and looked out of it. There was nothing. I looked around again but there was no sign of anything that could've made a noise. I saw my mom's car pull in the drive way. I closed the window and closed the curtains. I walked downstairs and saw my mom. She sighed. "What happened? How was your first day?" I asked. "Not so well, there was a lot happening on the news." She put her stuff on the counter. "Oh? Like what?" I raised an eyebrow. "There was a lot of people killed. They said an animal killed them. Supposedly the animal is near the town." She shook her head. "An animal? What kind of animal?" I asked again, but more confused. "I really dont know, but you shouldn't worry. Im sure it won't come that near." She said. "Alright.." I said, I then went back upstairs in my room.

The next day at school, it was weirder than yesterday. At lunch, I looked over to Bill's table and saw that only Tom, Georg, and Gustav were there. I didn't see Bill. They were all looking at me. I looked back a second, then turned my attention back on Carter and Diana. "So did you guys hear the news last night?" Diana asked. "Yup, it was crazy. How could an animal kill three people?" Carter said. "Yeah it was weird." I added. "You good? You've been acting weird ever since you got here today." Diana looked over to me. "Huh? Oh, yeah, Im fine." I shrugged. "Alright." She shrugged as well. Her and Carter started to talk about something different now. But i wasn't exactly paying attention, i kept thinking about Bill, and why he isn't here today. I actually kinda wanted to see him..

The next day, Bill was absent again. He was also absent the day after, and the day day after that. All those days he wasn't there, I thought about him even more. It was now Thursday. I hoped Bill would be here today, but I also doubt it. At lunch, I was sitting with Carter and Diana. I was paying attention to what they were talking about, and also adding onto the conversation. In the middle of the conversation, Diana looked over to Bill's table and she raised her eyebrows. "Well, guess who's back." She chuckled. I looked over to the table, and I was shocked. Bill was back. He looked a bit more tired than usual. He caught me basically staring at him, so I turned back to Carter and Diana. "Do you guys know where he went?" I asked. "Supposedly he was 'sick' but I'm not really sure." Carter shrugged. "Oh." I said, and looked back at him. I couldn't stop looking at him, or thinking about him. He was stuck in my mind, but why?
