If Ariana Had Taste (a jariana story)

Chapter 1

2014

"I'm really nervous," Ariana said.
"Don't be," Justin assured. "If people love you, they love you. If not, then they don't. Everybody isn't for everybody."
Ariana took a deep long breath.
"Come here," Justin said. He hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Good luck."
This warmed Ari's heart.
"I have something else," Justin stated. He took off a white and black plastic ring and put it on her index finger. "Use this for luck."
Ari chuckled, but thought it was cute. "Thank you."
"Go get em, bruh."
Ariana went on stage to perform "Break Free" in front of the VMAs audience. Next was Nicki Minaj, then the pair with Jessie J all together performing their hit song "Bang Bang." As they finished, the crowd went wild.
Justin stood there like a proud father. He knew he was looking at a star.
Hours later, they met up with each other again. Ariana gave him a huge hug.
"That was so much fun, yo!" she exclaimed.
"You did wonderful," Justin said.
"Thank you so much!"
"Thank you for being you."
They both celebrated the night at Satan, uh I mean, Scooter Braun's house with the both of them bringing friends and family.
The whole night, the two couldn't keep their eyes off each other. Yet every time they would accidentally get caught looking at each other, they would turn away blushing.
Ariana stood on Scooter's balcony, looking up at the stars and moon, wishing she was up there.
She heard the door slide open, thinking it was one of her friends.
"It's beautiful, ain't it," she heard Justin say.
Her body tensed up a bit. "Uh, yeah."
They looked up at the sky some more, then Ari broke the silence with "So this is it, isn't it? To be at the top?"
"It's nice....half the time," Justin sighed.
Ariana felt bad; she knew things weren't always easy for Justin being famous and successful long before she was. She wished she could take that pain away.
She decided to help take his mind off of everything.
"Guess what happens when you hear a heart snap!" Ari said.
"Huh?"
🎵 When you hear the HeArT snap!🎵 Ariana clapped. 🎵 It means you're DONE! 🎵 Then she stuck her thumbs in opposite directions with her tongue out.
Justin laughed. "Oh yeah, I like that Vine."
"I also like the one where that white dude was dancing, and then..."
The two spent the rest of the night bonding, losing track of time.
